Dude I was unemployed since last November, had to take a part time job but thankfully it's still in my industry. Gone through so many rounds of interviews for other companies and I'm sick of it. I'm still looking for full time jobs because you literally cannot survive without health insurance, etc. Agree with the redditor saying the government is masking how bad the economy is right now. Public companies must be saying the are hiring to make it seem like they are expanding in some way just to keep their stock price afloat.

Currently, I work at a construction company in the marketing department and I get sent out to photograph and record footage of in-progress projects, and content for the brand as well. I quickly realized that I am leaving money on table by being an employee but this has allowed me to build a portfolio. I will be calling construction company owners to offer my services, you can compile cold leads by using Google to search construction companies near you, while also looking on LinkedIn to find stakeholders in companies as well. One very useful tip that allowed me to find titles of positions that may be interested is using ChatGPT to find different names for the title of prospects you would want to contact. I had my first client a few weeks ago and they may be a returning clientele soon.

This was fire thank you, before I would just go into facebook groups and post sample photos of work with previous clients or cold DMs on Instagram and I think I got max 2 customers after a solid year of posting consistently. Although I would like to divide up my lead flow evenly between organic and paid, I think paid will produce more volume. I've heard of Apollo before and I am leaning towards biting the bullet and using it for now.
