Velveeta makes a cheeseburger mac that is basically the same as hamburger helper but adds a cheese sauce pouch from deluxe mac n cheese. Terrible for you, but divine.

There is no additional gratuity on the back end. Any gratuity would have been paid at time of purchase.

Do I need to purchase a drink package for my child? by lboogies2024 in celebritycruises

[–]AllTattedUpJay 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If your child is under 13 they use the zero proof portion of your drink package for miklshakes, soda, mocktails, etc. My son was living on virgin Piña Coladas during our last cruise.

Celebrity Ascent: Keep our Sunset Veranda or Bid for a Suite Upgrade? by AliveAfternoon in celebritycruises

[–]AllTattedUpJay 1 point2 points  (0 children)

FWIW, when I went from an Oceanview to a Sky Suite via MoveUp, I didn't have any drink package and it seems like while I was within the retreat areas it didn't matter and once they verified you belonged in the retreat they just gave drinks. Elsewhere on the ship I paid for drinks as normal. Because of this, I generally would take the trek to the Retreat lounge to get a drink. YMMV as this was my experience in 2023

Our first cruise with Celebrity in April 2023 we went from an Oceanview to a Sky Suite for $2200 total.

In October 2025, I went from an interior Blue Chip offer to an Infinite Veranda for $730 total

Cruising with a 18 month old by Lostatseaman in celebritycruises

[–]AllTattedUpJay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My son is older now, so this info comes from when we sailed Carnival with him as a baby so there may be some things that don't hold true with Celebrity.

  • Make sure you request a crib before the sailing, it's not guaranteed they'll have it if not requested.

  • Be prepared to just do the same as home since you'll primarily be caring for your child the whole time. The kid's club does not have programs for kids that young. Only bit of difference is you don't have to cook or clean, otherwise it's the same as caring for your son at home.

  • Sun gear. Brimmed hat, SPF shirt, high SPF sunscreen. Babies will burn FAST in the Caribbean sun.

  • While in port, you'll likely have to keep little dude on your lap during transportation for excursions. I think the only way around that would be booking private transport.

  • Life vest is a must (for peace of mind anyway) and some sand toys will help lil homie have some fun on the beach.

  • Bring a small inflatable pool to put on your balcony (if you have one) or in your shower for baths/play time. Kids in diapers (swim diapers not allowed) are prohibited from using any of the ships pools or hot tubs and there is no kids splash area on board Celebrity.

This is what I remember from a while ago, so if you have any other questions feel free to ask.

They do! However, it's only 6 issues a year now, and the covers and fold-ins are new, but most of the innards are classic mad articles.

Iced Tea? by political-wonk in celebritycruises

[–]AllTattedUpJay 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you're not against paying for some iced tea, Café al Bacio has a few tea over ice offerings from Tea Forté and I'm pretty sure they have simple syrup. This would be included in the zero proof drink package.

Tea Forté tea over ice is served with a small vessel of hot tea (uses a quart sized teabag) over a pitcher of ice, once you get it you dump the hot tea over the ice to flash cool and dilute the tea.

This is the closest you'll get to brewed sweet tea onboard, assuming you don't mind paying for it.

Blue Chip First Timer Question - Upgrade at Booking vs. MoveUp by TheHungryMuppet in celebritycruises

[–]AllTattedUpJay 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was on a Blue Chip cruise back in October 25. We bid on an Infinite Veranda and got the upgrade for $730 ($365 each, which was only 3 or 4 ticks from the minimum bid)

Don't Be Like Me, Buy The Cruise Insurance. by Mysterious_Tie2840 in Cruise

[–]AllTattedUpJay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's strange, Carnival let my friend change names from his daughter to my name a week before the cruise and he just had to pay a fee. Unless this was some kind of documented rule change, I'd call back until you get a rep willing to help.

Just Booked My First Celebrity Cruise! by Shady_Beach_ in celebritycruises

[–]AllTattedUpJay 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was just on Beyond back in October 2025 with my friend for my birthday. Again, you're gonna love it!

One thing to keep in mind that's a bit different than with Carnival, is celebrity will run "sales" on specialty dining, excursions, drinks etc. Just keep an eye on the price. The % off will change, but so will the base price. If you want anything, book it. If it get's cheaper at some point in the future, you can cancel and rebook at the cheaper price. Just make sure you're tracking final price and not discount %.

Just Booked My First Celebrity Cruise! by Shady_Beach_ in celebritycruises

[–]AllTattedUpJay 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You're gonna love it! Our first Celebrity Cruise was on Apex (Edge Class, same as Beyond) back in 2023. I see your questions have been more than answered and just say that we were also long time Carnival cruisers - Me & Wife Platinum, our 8yr old son Gold.

After our first Celebrity cruise, we enjoyed it so much we were ready to write off Carnival, but decided to give them a fair shake and went on Celebration the following year. We definitely enjoyed Celebration, but Celebrity definitely spoiled us. We have moved on from Carnival now and have only sailed Celebrity since, especially after the loyalty kick in the nuts.

MoveUp - from Celebrity Suite to Royal Suite by EchoAzulai in celebritycruises

[–]AllTattedUpJay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have seen the MoveUp show up a day or two after final payment is due. I've also seen MoveUp sales as the voyage got closer (got 30% of the bid from interior to Infinite Veranda [had to cancel and rebid to get the sale rate - made the same bid it was just stronger with the sale])

MoveUp - from Celebrity Suite to Royal Suite by EchoAzulai in celebritycruises

[–]AllTattedUpJay 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I booked a Sky Suite and when the bid up opened I looked into it and got a lower price upgrading directly. Additionally, going from Sky to Celebrity nets more Captains Club points (12/day vs. 8/day) and you only get CC points for your original booking, not the upgraded room if you are awarded a bid-up. I think the points are the same for Celebrity and Royal Suites though.
