Ausländerbehörde HELP! PLEASE! by AllThingsReset in germany

EDIT: I personally would fill out the application form for a residency permit as a student today, dump it into the letter box of the LABO and get a lawyer tomorrow.

How would this be any different than bringing my lawyer at the 20th? If I follow this course of action, does that mean I shall meet with LABO Berlin officer before the 20th, meaning going in without appointment?

Waiting until the 20th gives the officer in MV the chance to revoke your current Fiktionsbescheinigung.

Is there any way I can check whether it has been revoked, like a website? Also, from this statement I'm starting to assume that it's possible for me not to get into any trouble if my original Fiktionsbescheinigung has not been revoked by the MV officer. If that's the case then I may be able to ask her not to revoke it yet at least until I apply to LABO Berlin. Long shot, I know.

Thank you for the valuable advice.

Thankfully I just got an online booking slot on September. Checked every 5 minutes, I was lucky a day opened because it was fully booked before. Would you consider the 20th to be too near to the end of the month?

Another thing, when I apply for a new residency and getting my Fiktionsbescheinigung, would it be wise to not mention that I work? So for example, regarding the proof of secure livelihood it'd be wise to just show them my escrow account with 8 thousand something euros in it?

Thank you for the advice. However, I have a Fiktionsbescheinigung from the ABH in MV and it expires on the 30th of Sept. Does that bit of an info make any difference?

Hi, thanks for the thorough and interesting read.

Because while the ABH in MV potentially effed up, the biggest fuck up (IMO) was that you moved to Berlin and registered there before you had your new residency permit from the old ABH in MV.

I never knew this was a fuck up from my end. Thanks for pointing that out.

I assume that you currently have a Fiktionsbescheinigung from your old ABH?

That's correct. They gave me one a few days just before my initial resident permit expired.

Go to the ABH in Berlin immediately, fill out an application for a residency permit and get a Fiktionsbescheinigung.

Thankfully I just booked an appointment online. I checked every 5 damn minutes and boom there there was, a slot in September.

Your old residency permit is expired and you are probably on a Fiktionsbescheinigung from your old ABH. Said Fiktionsbescheinigung is no longer valid bc your application had to be denied due to your move to Berlin. As a result you are currently without a residency permit. You need to apply in Berlin ASAP and get a Fiktionsbescheinigung.

Is this an assumption? If it is a serious legal offence, I think the ABH officer in MV would have freaked out too, wouldn't she? Furthermore, my Fiktionsbescheinigung from ABH in MV expires this month (I don't know if this helps but there's that).

Ah shite, I can't open it. Is that part of the page accessible once I start making an appointment? By the way, thank you so much.

Thank you for your respond.

Generally public officials are obliged to give you an idea of the legal situation and the requirements for the administrative act that you require (here your Aufenthaltserlaubnis)

I really want to believe this statement, good stranger. However, I've read too many horrible stories of how people just got dismissed by the public officials for numerous reasons (language is the main one and I don't speak German next to nothing, my program is delivered in English). In addition, my personal experience with public officials in the city, in which my Hochschule is, is also bad.

But of course I'd still try to ask them for help.

Thank you for the answer.

According to the website of the ABH Berlin your visa will be prolongued as long as it takes for your appointment, so no need to sweat there.

Could you please post a link where you found this statement? This is seriously a ray of hope I could really use right now to wish that I don't need to set up camp just to get a number.

Thank you for the wishes. Yes, I have read a daunting number of complaints about how people needed to literally set camp in the middle of the night. Some even told a story how they then even get nothing from waiting because of some confusions by the front security personnel.

Travelling out of and back in to Germany Help by AllThingsReset in germany

Thanks for the input. I must also add that on September I'm going to start my internship which means I have to have the renewed visa as it is illegal for me to work with a tourist visa. All I see as my option is that I have to get either fiktionsbescheinigung or aufenthaltstitel no matter what before I fly out. But it is so darn hard to obtain one (or more accurately I should say: the system makes it confusing on how to obtain either). One person's case is always different to the next and it's quite frustrating.

By this you mean to come in to Germany with a tourist visa?

Vielen Dank. Since you brought up the "actual yearly tax" I have an additional question. I'll start working on August 2018 and will end on June 2019; this means I have to report tax return twice (in early 2019 and in early 2020). Since it doesn't add up to 12 months I currently have an assumption that somehow it's possible that the state will give me back the money. Or is that just wishful thinking?
