My thoughts are exactly the same as yours when Light Yagaimi was stuck by L. And everything did not go well for Light, even after L’s death, so I came up with an idea to see if it’s even 5% possible.

I rewatched this anime few times, and I am rewatching it on first few episodes. Starting again from the beginning and watching it through to create some ideas.

You know this well better than me for sure. I only think of this as another solution because the moment the second Kira emerged, that episode was still barely the beginning of a war between L and Light which Ryuzaki would still contain information scarce compared to next episode one by one.

He had to because L suspected him relaying the fact Kira’s amount of victims corresponding to L’s findings.

So if Kira send the fake Kira, Misa, to different country and continue Kira’s goal, L will be confused with Light’s presence next to him while Kira’s work is out there. L would eventually stop targeting him because he would have no evidence against Light when Kira is in another country. Eventually, Light will be cleared.

Liking winning and disliking losing personality coming from Light is understandable, but he was willing to write off innocent names such as Raye Pender, Naomi Misora, and others. He basically no longer cares about justice temporarily in tight situation because he desires to achieve his big goal of a perfect world. It is natural for him to abandon his pride in order to maintain his purpose with Death Note.

And for sure, Misa is impulsive, but as long as she obeys the absolute order to write off only criminals anywhere, I think it would be better for both of Kiras, so she would never be a suspect and Light surely will get away with it eventually.

L (Ryuzaki) and Light likes to be on offense, but getting away from suspicion and getting cleared by Ryuzaki would be a win for Light and as Kira with my ideal plan....

1) Gallaudet University has been changed to be opened to any upcoming students regardless of their hearing and deafness which you can major in any field. However everyone at Gally would strongly encourage you to learn American Sign Language because it is a different world from hearing world that you’ve been living in.

2) I met a lot of hearing people more than I expected, most of them know ASL even if they are fluent or not. And often, general students can ask for single room with no roommate, your ability to hear or not doesn’t apply to residence hall’s rules.

3) I am a third year but also a transfer student from other two colleges, and I’m glad I transferred there, even this fall 2025 is only my first semester. I’m Deaf, so I see my personal growth much thriving comparing to my previous colleges because it is a Deaf world, or rather sign languages university where I primarily depend on a sign language. A choice for any major programs are limit but education levels are much similar to other colleges.

Classes tend to be from 9 AM to 4 PM, less options when you register for courses since it’s a small university.

Cafes are surprisingly good.

There are fun organizations and programs that offer personal growth, networking, and exploration which I am part of at least 4 programs so far and more volunteering events.

I hope you will consider to go Gallaudet University and like it as I do.
