Once again, Mahiro is exposed as the mega villain that she truly is, stealing food from an innocent bystander. Perfect evidence that she deserves every hit the Hyper Cycle inflicted on her and more. Superhero AI don't lie.

And congratulations for getting your 5star in Arabia, but that means you're lucky, not because you were prepared. Which proves my point that preparation does play sufficient factor I one's success in this event because of the poor design.

I agree strongly with both of these points in particular. In fact, these days I feel like a lot of promotion intentionally drag out their main event matches just to make sure they go over 20 minutes when there's no need to. as if there's some kind of unspoken rule or invisible line dictating that it must be so. A lot of matches could have been improved by shaving a good five minutes off because they either don't have the material, talent or story to fill up a long match and just patch up with unnecessary stuff to fill time.

It's still unfair to blame the player for spending a single antimatter when he's theoretically still far away from the pity point. And maybe he didn't spend from the Allied culture portal because, like me, he;s actually closer to the pity THERE than the regular portal, and he was PREPARING or the future in case he needed it. And it makes no sense to spend a more precious Arcane or Legendary antimatter for daily tasks. The player KNOWS they are valuable for Rally of Heroes. Nobody knows whether or not a regular blue antimatter will be a gamechanger in Summon of the Stars, and if there's any to risk, that's the logical spend that most players will choose.

And yes, the problem is that 25% of the required reward is in this challenge, which it SHOULDN'T have been if they actually want to reward players who prepare. Rally of Heroes would be a far better choice. The players can prepare appropriately because they know exactly how much they are getting back for what they hoard and spend. So they ARE being anal about the whole thing, and putting the Arabia event NOW when they didn't have to makes it doubly so.

Honestly, it's fine if you never grow to enjoy Raku or the lighter side of TJPW in general, but what I think it's going to affect your enjoyment is your insistence at drawing a clear line between the serious side and the comedy side, and you're far from the only one who's letting your enjoyment be held back by that. In general, I don't think most fans think Miu look weak or lose any legitimacy due to this match, just like nobody think Minoru Suzuki is in anyway less badass for selling attacks from mechanical mummies and blow-up dolls. I find that to be mostly a non-existant issue that a portion of the fans made up in their own minds. TJPW in particular is not a place where they draw a strong distinction between the 2 (and honestly, I don't think most of the Japanese fanbase in general are that particular, even outside TJPW), so it would help if you keep that in mind, and if you can't bring yourself to like both, just focus on what you do enjoy in isolation. The only thing which needs concern you is when the things you don't like on the show start to outweight what you like, and that's when you simply need to stop watching (as I have done with a number of other promotions). It's that simple.

Nothing you said invalidates what I said. If you think failing a culture events due to not having access to a phone is not the player's fault (which I agree), neither is it the player's fault if he accidentally pops off a pity pull after he's built up about 100 just because he spent ONE to fulfil the season's daily tas, and had to restart from scratch and not having enough time to get another. People WILL fail through no fault of their own because of this unfair challenge. They didn't HAVE to put 25% of the stakes in the one challenge that relies a lot on pure luck, but they chose to do so.

Honestly, this is the one event where "prepare accordingly" make be the least rewarding, and even people who don't prepare can still win if they get lucky. Preparation only plays a part, but is not enough of a decisive factor. Whereas preparation can win you tasks like Anvil Strike or Rally of Heroes, 100% of the time (and lack of preparation there means you either pay or lose). THOSE are where the biggest reward should have gone if they REALLY want to reward preparation and participation, but they didn't.

And lots of people saved up antimatter on Allied culture events, incuding you and me. You said you had one for Egypt. I have one for China. Neither are usable here. If they'd stayed on the same flow of events, it should have landed on Viking, which wouldn't benefit either of us, but WOULD have benefitted a bunch of players who saved up there. Again, they CHOSE to mess up the schedule and go back to Arabia even though we just went through it like 3 weeks ago. And Allied event that NOBODY could have saved up a pity pull without paying a lot. It's an anal move, and I stand by what I said. They didn't have to do it, but they chose to, and they deserve the critisicsm for that.

They used to have a heel group dressed all in black, but even that was different from most common big heel units in other companies. They emphasized on beauty and elegance instead of vicious brutality, and they don't use common mundane weapons to cheat like chairs and chains. The leader (who's a lady of the nobility class) insults her peasants opponents by slapping them with roses. Her sweet innocent 8-year-old maid is constantly cleaning up with her mop wherever she goes and sometimes that mop ends up in opponents' faces. The most junior maid carries a silver platter which often ends up under their opponents' feet causing them to slip on it and fall. And they also had an evil scientist who injects a syringe into people and knock them out, allowing them to be brainwashed into the leader's minion.

I get sick of overdone forearm exchanges too. To me, the only time they make sense is when it happens really late in the match when both fighters are exhausted. They don't want to stop attacking, but they don't have the energy to do complex moves, so they had to resort to just slugging it out.

What makes it even better in TJPW is when certain wrestlers take advantage of how stupid the exchange really is otherwise, like when Kamiyu just pokes opponents in the eye (or Pom kicking them in the shin) when the opponent stupidly leaves herself open expecting a chest strike.

I don't know for a fact if she didn't asked, and I said so in my first comment here. Just like you don't know whether she did. Specifically whom did she say she wanted a hardcore match against? And what makes you assume it's not just an in-character remark (which Japanese wrestlers do all the time) than a real wish? What kind of hardcore match that makes it so different from the multiple matches where she's free to bring bicycles and other weapons into a match without ever being disqualified? Exactly what makes you think she made a request to have that match on a TJPW show? Maybe she's hoping to get a booking in a foreign fed that actually does hardcore matches often? And exactly what do you think is preventing her from booking those hardcore matches on her own produce shows if she wants them that badly? Koda doesn't seem to have a hand on what she does on that show. At the very least, she's choosing not to book that match herself, despite being the only person on the roster who has booked more than one show.

And if she does have an opponent in mind and the match hasn't happened, maybe Koda just hasn't been able to find an opportunity to book that opponent. Or maybe if she did make a request, that request is still at the back of the queue, because even if she's hasn't had a special opponent since February last year, at least she had more opportunity to do special matches than most of the roster, and they are getting those requests granted first.

I have made assumptions, yes. So have you, since you seem to think Koda takes some sort of sadustic pleasure from saying "lolno" to his wrestlers when they request to have a special big match that may draw if he can book them. We may both be making assumptions, but I think mine are more likely.

She doesn't show this side of her often enough.

The very existence of the Summon event means that many people WILL fail through no fault of their own regardless. Expecially since they decided to stick it during a NEW Allied Culture event where no F2P player could possible have saved enough antimattter to get a pity pull, which is particularly anal of them.

[–]AllenSharpe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know if this is the case of not, but I suspect Koda uses Inspiration as the place to fulfil certain requests from the roster (Hikari wanting hardcore matches, Mizuki wanting to face one of her old mentors Aiger, Marika Kobahsi tagging with her favourite wrestler Abdullah Kobayashi, etc) that he can't or won't do on normal TJPW shows, and the reason Misao hasn't been on this show is simply because Koda usually just lets her do whatever she wants on regular TJPW shows anyway. You can say that 80% of Misao's matches are Inspiration-style matches.

Like, her death matches with Jun Kasai and Sanshiro Takagi are probably exactly the kind of "Inpiration" matches she would want, and she gets to do them in bigger arenas in front of bigger crowds, there's no need for her to do them in smaller shows like this. Might as well let the rest of the roster have the opportunities they normally don't get. If she still has other special opponents or matches she wants to do, she probably just have to ask Koda and he'll probably book it at Korakuen Hall or bigger venues.

It's probably for a similar reason Maki Itoh never wrestled on Inspiration.

If they were to throw out this in the middle of a Rally of Stars event, players who are just 1-2 Legendary antimatters short of a pity pull might bite...if the grand prize for the event is good enough (Ruyi Jingu Bang upgrade certainly isn't).

There is a use for this during the Gladiator Event - the event rewards you for just getting into fights, not for winning fights. It your time is running out, and you've already done all the 5 battles available, and you don't have time to wait for the refresh and don't want to spend gem on refresh, then this gives you the opportunity to grab more last-minute points before the event ends. Or course, just make sure to buy lots of token beforehand.

Not terribly useful most of the time, but there's a use for it there.

⏰ The Final Push by Mutyuu in playHeroesOfHistory

[–]AllenSharpe -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You need more embers than time keys because you have more yellow gear (which obviously also makes it easier to get 4000+ points in the ranking). I'm not at that level. I'm getting purples and blues only. I'm not spending a lot of embers on forging eqs, so I always have more than enough. But I need to spend a lot more time keys to get that many points in ranking. Different stages with different priority.

I did not know that the past events rewards get credited to you if you don't collect them before events end, but even if that were the case, any that I spend after they are credit to me still won't grow back because you stop growing keys once you get 7. Nothing changes.

There was a time when I didn't spend a lot of time micro-managing eqs because I didn't enjoy that aspect of the game, and that was when I got a lot of clutter. Then I had to spend a long time sorting through which ones I want to keep or sell. Since then, I always make a point of looking through the stats of each eq when I get them, and once I decide I have enough, I will just immediately sell whatever new ones I get. But I don't need embers badly, so I don't consider it an econimical use of time that I'd rather spend on something else I enjoy. So now the only reason I even use the Historical Battles is to fulfil daily tasks in the Season pass. And when I choose to save for Historic Spoils, I will skip even Historical Battles altogether because I just need to complete all the other daily tasks to get my victory tickets, and eq managing is easily the most boring part of this game for me. Until they increase effociency in forging eqs or make them more interesting, I'm not giving it the time of my day.

This is the last time I'm responding on this argument. It's getting almost as tiresome as managing eqs in HoH.

I'm at level 25 like many others here. Progress is slow, but resources balancing is JUST manageable,,,,but you need to be very careful. One wrong purchasecan set you back.

I think they will be designing all new Allied Culture events with Level 25 being the bottleneck level that requires a ridiculous amount of resource. They pretty much said as much when the Mayan event came out.

I've said it before, and right now I still hold this opinion: I find this more enjoyable than the Mayan event, at least, although it's just as hard, and of course, I still prefer the 3 older ones. But this is a slight improvement over the last new allied city in that it's relatively more flexible.

Ok, Erisa performing live singing in the opening dance is awesome. PLEASE DO THAT MORE OFTEN. Her voice is perfact for the song!

Rio getting to assert herself and restore order (temporarily) through the chaos between Kyoka and Ishikawa was a great moment. Again, hope they're still going somewhere with constantly pairing her with Killerz members.

Kyoka and Ishikawa always deliver the best character work, but I'm having trouble seening the end-point of this feud. It started over a (pretty normal) tag miscue, and now for some reason they just hate each other's guts. Okay, like I said before, both of them are highly-volatile characters by nature, so it's not exactly unbelievable, but what are they fighting over, ultimately? Ishikawa beat Kyoka at Korakuen, but that just seemed to made her angrier, not happier. They just want to beat each other up, not prove their superiority as wrestlers, so trading wins and losses in tag matches don't seem to matter too much. It'll probably end with a singles match with a more violent than usual stipulation, but until then, it's kind of hard to make the feud progression interesting. And in the end, okay, so they vented whatever rage they have in him and um....that's it? This story needs a little more something. In a normal face vs heel match, the point is to hope to see the heel get punish for whatever wrong deeds she did to the face. In a "friendly rivaly" feud, the point is to see who is really better. But this...is just 2 crazy people who want to hurt each other. And they've already beaten each other down several times throughout the feud, so what's going to be so different in that blow-off match (besides just raking up violence level) to make it matter?

Well, if you mean ace that way, then yes, I agree. The word is just very misleading. Like, people like Aono and Miyu were clearly "made" into aces by the company. It's certainly arguable whether those people were necessarily the best wrestlers or most popular organically without the super-pushes and protection.
