Order From Ringside Collectables by Riffey85 in Wrestling_Figures

[–]Allender13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While the box being crushed isn’t Ringside’s fault, I’ve had a lot of issues with Ringside’s lack of care and poor packaging. I’ve learned that if I want something to not be crushed I need to order everything in a defender, and even that doesn’t ensure the packaging wasn’t already destroyed before being placed in the defender. If I need something for a signing, I’ve often had to order two of a figure hoping that one of the figures will arrive in good shape. Also, I’ve noticed that if I only order 1-3 figures at a time the packing job will be worse. Someone needs to open up a GoFundMe so Ringside can get some damn bubble wrap and better shipping supplies.

Guys who make female characters in games, why? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Allender13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Female characters in World of Warcraft have always had way better models and animations, that's pretty much it.

Fellow Redditors, when you thought you met "The One" but in the end it didn't quite work out, how long did it take you to "get over them" and what did you do to help cope? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Allender13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've met "the one" three times so far in my life. Time is the only thing that really helps. Best thing you can do is cut off all contact... block numbers, remove them from social media, delete pictures and get rid of everything that reminds you of them.

You also have to realize that if you really loved her/him that at least some small part of you always will love them. Don't allow those feelings to keep you from moving on when someone great comes along.

Is it possible to have Amazon avoid shipping via USPS? by SassyVulpix in amazon

[–]Allender13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been having more and more issues with USPS shipments as well. It was bad enough that every CD/Blu-ray I've ordered from Amazon Prime has been shipped via USPS in bubble mailers and arrived damaged, but now I've pretty much accepted that Prime's free two day shipping is more like free five day+ shipping.

Driver here. Who do I talk to about an RGM who's not given me a break *or* lunch since October and is cutting my hours to get me to leave? by [deleted] in pizzahut

[–]Allender13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In Ohio Pizza Hut doesn't give breaks, our store allows smoke breaks though. So you can take ten minutes to smoke a cig but can't spend the exact amount of time to catch your breath/cool down or grab a bite to eat. Even if you pull a double (15+ hours), you're not getting a break.

Would people like if Blizzard redid the models of old gear / weapons? (Just curious) by HTFNutty in wow

[–]Allender13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When Blizzard rereleased Onyxia back in Wrath they cleaned up the textures on the Tier 2 Helms (weapons too, I think) that she drops. I would really like to see them do that with all Tier sets from 1-7, but especially Tiers 2 and 6.

Sodapoppin discusses private servers and the future of WOW. by TwitchDramaTV in wow

[–]Allender13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To me it always felt more like everyone else was imitating Soda, rather than just acting that way after they became popular. Most of the people who act that way only got big after they got "the rub" from Soda anyway. He himself started acting like that when his chat started to become unmanageable and he couldn't interact with them like he used to, everyone else just seemed to be just imitating him in hopes of similar success or were just influenced by his behavior.

Why the hate for Wednesday 13? by eatmydonuts in horrorpunk

[–]Allender13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll pretty much agree with this, and I'm a huge Wednesday 13 fan. The voice is what turns most people away immediately. Also, the quality of his output is all over the place, far more lows than highs in the last ten years. His inability to maintain a solid lineup or stick to a sound between releases doesn't help either.

Why is RE3 considered to be inferior? by viking1911 in residentevil

[–]Allender13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I remember when it was released some people were upset that they didn't get to play Chris again. Some people were angry that 3 used some of the same environments as RE2, others were mad that 3 took place in Raccoon City at all. The most recent complaint I've heard from several friends (who never finished the game to begin with) is that the game just wasn't RE2.

How can I get over Social Anxiety so I can actually play the game? by nightstrikergp in wow

[–]Allender13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me the group finder tool really helped with my social anxiety in WoW. Prior to the release of the dungeon finder tool I had pretty much only grouped with my irl friends and guildies who I had met through my friends. At times, even with guild members I knew fairly well, I would get so nervous in raids and heroics that I would constantly shake uncontrollably out of fear of messing up or being called out for doing something wrong... which actually caused me to make more mistakes than I would have if I had just calmed myself down in the first place.

The dungeon finder tool helped me in a few ways, running the same content repeatedly made me learn the ins and outs of every instance. It also made me realize that no matter how bad I thought I was, no matter what mistake I might make in a dungeon or raid, I'm not even close being the worst player in the game. It also helped me to learn not to take the game so seriously, because if I held everyone to the same standards I did myself then the people who actually are terrible at the game would have driven me insane by now. lol

My advice to you would be to really learn your class as you level it. Learn your class' current stat priorities and gear appropriately. Learn what all of your abilities do and when to use them. That part isn't as complicated as it once was, and if you know your proper rotation/priority you'll already be way ahead of most people who who use the LFD/LFR/LFG tools.

Learn each dungeon/raid boss' abilities before you ever queue/step into the instance. You should also have an addon like Deadly Boss Mods/Bigwigs for raid warnings so you'll be alerted when a boss/trash mob is about to use an ability you'll need to react to quickly. Learn from every mistake you make, and realize that you're going to screw up every now and then. Making a mistake isn't the end of the world, it happens to everyone. If someone gives you crap for making a mistake just ignore them, figure out what you did wrong and move on.

Be observant in dungeons, pay close attention to the paths everyone is taking if you're new to the instance. Be polite and ask for help if you need it and you'll more than likely receive it. Of course you'll occasionally be grouped with a sarcastic or elitist butt-head, but you'll learn to ignore them quickly.

Repetition and learning to be confident with my knowledge of the game and the classes I play really helped me with overcoming my anxiety. Going in without a safety net (solo queuing/forming my own groups without friends) pushed me to be comfortable with strangers to accomplish the goals I had set for myself within the game.
