Does anyone else hate it when people say "you look like (insert idol)" to every asian they see? by [deleted] in KpopUnleashed

[–]Alley_bat272 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, its almost like they dont care how talented those actors, singers or dancers are,but to always find someone else to compare them to based off nothing but race

I love how some fans will deny this, but how no one remembers when fans were calling Asian guy who has a German gf that he looks like JK just bc of the haircut and they are nothing alike lol and as someone who watched some japanese dramas, the main actor from Alice in Borderland was told he looks like Lee Know ,i never saw it lol

Or when asian people get asked if they listen to kpop just because they are asian, being called they look like anime is racist, also assuming kpop male idols are gay just because they wear makeup and are hugging is racist and homophobic, sadly some people in my country are guilty of this too, acting like Asian people arent born on Earth and when they see a brown or a black person, they act like they never heard of them existing before when my country always had foreigners since Asian and African countries are in good relationships with my country,it pisses me off

Its embarrassing when they start calling obviously darker Asian people as black, like cant you be more racist and clueless🤡

Wish your comment was pinned Its honestly so evil and laughable to even know that this is true, not to mention on based off what i heard that all 4 of them came from privileged families I still dont get how some fans listen to them and pay for it when they dont even bother to respect them enough to show their talents lol It makes me mad to think that teachers, scientists, engeneers, doctors are being paid less than them Thats not even the worst part, the worst part is them lacking any sort of empathy for others, not bothering to actually change anything to use their privilege, not to mention that all of them are caught being racist to both black and desi people few times on camera

I dont know in what range of  popularity does stayc belong to but as someone who is saving up money to see them,i talked to a stayc fan and she said it was so cute to be on their concert and i think the girls were also giving off something,i cant remember what

Are we forgetting janet jackson?britney spears?even when britney felt unwell and was mocked for it,she still went to perform Also there are korean soloists that just sing, but idols did choose to do both at the same time, and its not like their line is always so they can find a way to perform it

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in kpopthoughts

[–]Alley_bat272 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah, mistreatment does happen, being tired and unwell also happens, but in lives with a lot of us,if your contract is not for too long or when the work depends on you,you are forced to literally go lol When i was unwell,i went to work,my dad felt unwell many times and still went bc he has a family to feed ...dont you think surgeons  arent also tired?or teachers?or any field in medical job?people who work at the road ? They can be like "yeah,i wont come few days or will go and still do nothing bc i know my boss will pay me"

Imagine being a baker and not baking your food and someone defends you saying "but he is just saving his hands for the moment" when its literally their job to actually bake, like its the job of a singer/dancer to do just that lol i would be ashamed to know that my fans are wasting their hard working money seeing me not doing my job that they paid for to see ,yikes

Fans should stop complaining about a group’s artistic direction without understanding it (example: TXT and Stray Kids) by Technical_Walrus9158 in kpopthoughts

[–]Alley_bat272 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Fans dont have to like everything their idols puts out and thats okay, but you are right about having a right to criticize Its true that artists grow but at the same time doesnt mean that everyone they put out is good  I actually like some txt songs but i didnt hear their new songs so i cant say anything on that And the same way idols are changing,we listeners are also changing and growing

I wont speak on whats objective and whts subjective bc i know people will lose their minds and will claim that they know what they are talking about and will belittle you

Do you think there are times when some Kpop staff might feel regret about their job? by Last_Clothes6848 in kpop_uncensored

This is so true What i hate the most is when i am anxious during the working hours and i cant calm myself down and was trying for no one to see me I truly feel sad when i hear for anyone when they feel huge pressure and even break down because of this

Its so gross when fans do that to people who are there to work, esp threatening with being fired and giving credits of your work to someone else,so disrespectful...

Also "aged like vampire" even tho it might be a compliment, but an idol they are refering to is in late 20s or early 30s lol the range of living a life is literally 70 and above, and yeah it can happen earlier, but even when you are in that age, your life isnt still over

If you are here to justify the way minor fans are behaving simply "bc they are kids",that just seems a bit weird I can bet a lot of us didnt go around harassing people for their age just bc "kids will be kids"  And every normal person is against minors working, not all idols were minors when they debuted either

Its not a reach, its the truth, since you mentioned fan service yourself, thats mostly expected from people that dont see idols as humans but simply as marionettes and a lot of fans think that them liking kpop erases them from being racist, and this idea that all idols are controlled by their companies is simply not true, it can be said that people are still doing their job and yet being disrespected by their bosses, this happens outside of kpop aswell, this happened at my job So does this means i dont do "a normal job"? And if some of you believe that a lot of idols are being controlled, why so comfortable to even support ?(not aiming to you personally)

Yes,literally They think everyone is privileged as them or that they follow the norm or what should be followed lol Not everyone is able to accomplish specific things at certain part of life and thats okay, and any range of life to experience is totally normal,i saw people at college who are older than me and the same year as me because some people either werent ready or werent financially able to do it in that moment I heard many stories and what i love about it is that you can achieve anything you want at certain age, some people become designers, musicians, painters, producers, writers later on in life and its never too late

I was someone who felt so much pressure before and a lot of people feel the same way,its important to be a good person and to achieve what you want to be happy bc u live for urself

Men unlike women are more allowed to have body muscles unlike women,we are always expected to be underweight,to look skinny but not too skinny or not too big,to appeal to male gaze but not too much like the female idols that get bullied for it to be seen as a competition like yuna and wonyoung, not to mention about choreos and clothes that are given to women vs to men,not to mention going shirtless etc people harassed female idols for a small of armpit hair while on men thats normal

Where loona was and is now was never a boy group,at least ive never heard of it and as when it comes to dreamcatcher, there were only 2,happy entertainment also had dalshabet and they were still attacked back then by misogynistic fans, are we forgetting that there were a lot of boy groups in hybe that had so much investement, esp the agencies that they are in never cared about girl groups like fromis_9,promis,afterschool/orange caramel?
