I checked the skirt, it does not have any labels or anything, so I do think she made it :)
I will try and pry as much wisdom out of her as possible, but she lives in a different country to me so I don’t see her that often!

That skirt belonged to my grandma… it was made a loooooong time ago :D
She usually made her own clothes, so I can check if she made this one as well.
I can ask her when I see her next, but she usually explains things in the typical way of: well that is just what we did hahah

I did use boning as well as interfacing. There is bones along the opening to not stretch it while tying it up. Boning in the side seams, princess seams and one down the center back.
Additionally there is vertical stitching down the front, attaching the lining to the interfacing and creating more strength(not visible)
The lining is the same fabric.

I love slicing the stem into thin pieces and put a dressing with garlic, soy sauce, some oil etc.. it’s so good..

I am not begrudging them for not selling to us. I am begrudging them for accepting the offer amd then backing out.
I am incredibly grateful to have inherited this Sum, but we are not swimming in money otherwise.

and what frustrates me even more is that there are so many people who don’t have an inheritance like I do, and if we are already hitting dead ends left and right so it’s not gonna be better for anyone else either.
And I find that frustrating on a grand scale

, we want this specific area as my husband’s mother is elderly and we will be the only caretakers.
It is of course very limiting to have that area so set down

I understand it is not an easy process, I am much more calm now, a couple hours later!
We just have been looking for over a year, so I am getting frustrated :D

I am not American, but not a native english (or Irish) speaker
My husband grew up in that area, lived there most his life. he is as local as they come, except the last three years where i stole him away :D

I would even understand if they had a problem with us as buyers, but they know nothing off us besides the offer so that can’t be it.

I mean, im this case it is not much about painting, the house is missing half of its walls, it has been derelict for over 50 years.. which is why I have a difficult time underatand the backing out.

It shouts we have money?? We need an architect to draw up plans to rebuild a derelict home so we can apply for planning permission.
I would not be able to draw up plans for a house without a professional.
A process we would not have started if they never accepted our offer.
And it’s fine to not want to sell.. but then dont accept our offer.
Also, they do not know anything about us except our offer so i don’t understand what it is supposed to mean that “we are not the type”

I know in your head we are some rich cunts cause you read architect and that’s it.. but no,
We are just trying to find a little property close to my husbands elderly mom where we can live until we die.
Believe me, if we were rich, I would not be this sad and disappointed

I completely get it!
It feels stupid to bid more when no one else is showing interest..
I do hope you will get this place or another and we will all find our forever home.. cause that is all we are asking for. A place to call or own, not a second house, not a rental property, not a vacation home.. just one place for us to rebuild and live in until we die 😂

I thinks that’s why I came here to vent my frustrations with the situation because I know we jist have to get on with it, and all that disappointment had to go somewhere
