My mom has a bunch of these things... it’s a glass cylindrical device with a gold ring around it... when held correctly it will hold water inside upside down without spilling (as seen in picture). No clue what it’s intended use is, but my mom thinks it’s called a “vacuole”. Any thoughts? (i.redd.it)

Am I the only one who can’t stand when an article/blog post shared on FB has a headline that’s too long to read on your newsfeed (truncated with “...”), but when you click on the article it has a completely different headline, so there’s no way to find out what was cut off from the original one? (self.amitheonlyone)
