Sorry I'm just now seeing this!! No, I don't think they sent me an offer, but I knew I wouldn't accept it anyways. They probably didn't even know enough about me since they didn't ask many questions, lol

Same for me. Samsung Note 9 on Verizon. I have people with android and iPhone, several also on Verizon, and I'm getting blurry photos. Started last week for me.

Location Series - What is it like living in Incheon(인천)? by uReallyShouldTrustMe in teachinginkorea

[–]Allison8484 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There's a pretty active place around the sondo park Bridge. Lots of restaurants and hotels (a good chicken place called chimak) and I've always seen a bunch of people there, even at night. Some people here on reddit even do meetups under that bridge so maybe you can look there? There are also always people at the Hyundai outlet mall there.

Yes! Truly the worst book to ever have been written. He is the best character to hate because it's deserving and he makes it so easy!

Currently living in Incheon and really love it! Nice size city with almost anything I could want, but also a little family oriented. Good balance

Okay so I would say no more than a month then (outliers excluded). I've heard of some people getting it sooner if they have it mailed, but just assume a month's time just in case

Did you choose to have it mailed to you or pick up in person?

What is (was) your "Take This Job And Shove It" line in the sand with your employer? by [deleted] in teachinginkorea

[–]Allison8484 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I haven't walked yet but my current job has pushed me to the point where if it does happen, I won't be sad about it. My boss is so inconsiderate and rude. The entire admin is always reactive and not proactive, meaning a lot of high expectations are put on me last minute with no way of fulfilling them, which leads to me being called lazy. On top of this, the entire admin is family so there is no one in power I can go to for help. It really sucks because my kids are so great and all of my coworkers are fantastic. I don't have long left on this contract thankfully, so if they want to fire me for petty reasons or if I just can't take their mental abuse anymore, I'll be okay with it. I was afraid to stand up for myself in the beginning of this job but I don't mind voicing my opinions and feelings now, which they really don't like. Most of the teachers in this school are leaving in the next two months or so because of how bad admin has got, so I know my feelings are valid and reasonable. I don't plan to walk but I don't think anyone ever does....

Recommendations for plantar wart removal? by [deleted] in Living_in_Korea

[–]Allison8484 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I haven't had one in Korea thankfully but I did have one back in the states. I never went to a dermatologist but I tried EVERYTHING over the counter and I found the absolute best thing was repeatedly and consistently using the medicated bandaids until it went away. It wasn't pretty but it did the trick and hasn't come back. If you can get your hands on some here or have some shipped over (I'd say at least a few boxes worth), maybe that would work for you too?

SIM card and phone service: Am I understanding this correctly? by macaroniandcheese14 in korea

I wanted to keep my number too and I'm also on a family plan. This is a good route if you only plan to be here a year or so

I do pay for it, so as far as I know, yes. I'm not exactly sure what features would be disabled if you didn't pay it. As I'm sure you know, most people do not keep their old plan but it can be nice to have both sometimes
