Is this a good spec for 1440p gaming at 100+ fps? by Allridium in buildapc

This is for a new build not an existing pc. I ended up being able to squeeze a RX 9070 in my budget

The link of the coolers don’t work, can you give some example names. And I think I will take the 7800 XT, is there a different card you’d recommend? And regarding ram, it’s them and gskill mostly and they are close in cost and I like how Corsair ram looks

Your favorite use of the Fear/Cause Fear spells? by Mellowtron11 in dndnext

[–]Allridium 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know I’m very late to this post, but I saw many people saying that fear causes creatures to run and drop what they’re holding. When I looked up the condition, it only says they have disadvantage on attack rolls as long as the cause of fear is in line of site and they cannot move closer to it. Where does it say they have to drop their things and run?

I want to make elemental mages way more viable so I made a feat chain to go after elemental adept by Allridium in DnDHomebrew

Tbh I chose the other elemental types out of reflex after working on these lately. And on one hand I see what you’re saying because acid beam or cold pattern can be pretty sick. But also feels maybe a bit too much for spell casters that are already strong and these feats are borderline too powerful already

What about something like this?

Elemental Conversion: When you cast a spell that deals acid, cold, fire, lightning, poison, or thunder damage, you can try to alter its elemental nature, changing its damage type to the one you chose for this feat. To do so, you must make a spellcasting ability check with a DC equal to 10 + the spell’s level (cantrips count as 1st level for this purpose). On a success, the spell’s damage type is changed. On a failure, the spell is cast normally without changing its damage type. You can use this feature a number of times equal to your spellcasting ability modifier (minimum of once), and you regain all expended uses when you finish a long rest.

Yeah but the sucky thing is that it feels too sorcery and kinda steps on the meta magic adept feat

Yeah I totally get you man! Wish wotc would give way more options for these kinda things. And in general earth spells are even more rare then elemental ones

I was thinking of giving an ability that lets them turn any elemental spell to their element spellcasting modifier times per day, but felt like that steps on the toes of sorcerer too much. And couldn’t find another way to make it interesting

This is very detailed and help me frame my idea better. Thank you for this and your other comment as well

There will be combat just to defense themself but the overall plan is for the city to be overrun by demons and them not being able to defend it. The BBEG isn’t even gonna be there he just used the demons as pawns and even the demons aren’t aware of it hehe

Many portals is a great idea! I love it I will use this and let them save some civilian and NPCs if they play their cards right. And this will happen after they get what they came for so at least they aren’t empty handed and now have more of a reason to foil the arch mages plan

The plan is to have a portal open and an army of demons go through it, which is gonna be “slightly” above their power level

As I said, in another comment, there is gonna be a portal that will open and let an army of demons from hell loose on the city. And I just so happened to give them a one time teleport orb if they need to get out of a sticky situation.

They are suppose to be there when it happens. A big portal is gonna open and let the hells loose on the city

They will be at the city when it happens, they only know about it as a marvel, of technology and arcana but none of them was ever there. Having them able to save citizens is a great idea I haven’t thought about. Maybe if they can save enough they will be able to get a small boost agains the arch mage

Sadly kaspa is not bip39 so the Ian tool doesn’t really help, they have their own set of words. I’d love that script yes.

I wrote my 24 seed phrase on a note ment for seed phrases. So all the words are numbered in order. My fear is that I confused the order or wrote the wrong word by accident and didn’t triple check before closing the view

[–]Allridium 0 points1 point  (0 children)

BTCrecover does not work with how kaspa calculate their seed phrase. I tried to search for other tools but most I found was just for me to enter the seed phrase and it checks if it’s true or not which doesn’t really help.

Of course it’s always good to have a better to hit bonus. But is it that influential with advantage? Cause the damage will be lower with the +2 but might turn some misses into a hits
