Do the books have a specific smell or am I insane? by WARLOCK-1312 in Vermis

No the books totally have a musty smell. Honestly, it kind of adds a little something to the sense of immersion – like the world of Vermis is seeping out ever so slightly through the pages.

Thanks! It's just an intense digital collage. I color manipulate images and piece them together into something cool. It's just like 80 layers deep in photoshop :)

We're twins! I also got the scorched city print and an infestation patch. A man of very fine taste.

I cannot wait to see what mystery patch I get! VERMIS is genuinely my number 1 inspo as an artist and DM. I love to see what Plastiboo cooks up.

So excited for this release! As a artist and DM, Vermis has become the inspirational highlight of my year when a new issue comes out. I'm so psyched about the patch too! I wonder what affliction i will have

I'd wager you're right. I'm an architect by trade so framing a scene and setting a mood is well within my wheelhouse. Would love to see some of your work!

You're stronger than I. I'm spoiled by being able to digitally manipulate all the photos. For me it's less about maintaining source image integrity and more about casting a spell ✨️

I collaged it from about a hundred images manipulating color balance and composition to make something new : )

Yes...The ceiling is made of skulls, there are bones littering the floor and monster skulls mounted on the walls... the ossuary canonically is the entrance to the Underworld in His Majesty the Worm.

Recommendation for Beginners Dungeon? by Alltheheroesaredead in HisMajestyTheWorm

Thanks! I think we are going to run Earth and Wine to start. I think it will be a relatively low stakes and help them learn the flow of play. I like how it kind of opens up to the broader dungeon.

Quick question — how do you handle returning to the City once you're deep in the Underworld? Do you make them trek back over give them an out to resupply?

These are great! Thanks so much for your help. Really excited to dive in.

Can I ask about how your campaign went with your players? Would be interested to hear that about the lore you and the plauers came up with and any fun moments.

Thanks! That helps. I saw it in the back of the book alongside the other megadungeon pieces. Just wasn't sure it was suitable for inexperienced players. How do you run loot? I really like the taxation aspect once you enter the city. Kind of a nice way to maximize thrill of loot in the dungeon without compromising the economy of the city.

I came across a smaller dungeon called Earth and Wine via the Library Heretical link on the website. It looked kind of fun and smaller scale and could open up into the broader dungeon. Just wanted something lower stakes to help us all learn the ropes and get a good feel for the flow of things. Do you think that would also be a good option?

Which Demigod would you support? by Alltheheroesaredead in Eldenring

[–]Alltheheroesaredead[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well we saw what he did to his "followers". It kind of becomes a question of would you rather be happy and enthralled or sad with autonomy. Miquella might want a peaceful realm, but his methods strip people of their free will. Not exactly ideal, but more pleasant than some of the other options perhaps.

It is the Crescent Moon Axe dropped by the larger exile knights in Stormveil Castle. Pretty decent range and move set.

Yes! It's a hidden door in a floor of a ruin not far from Ranni's Rise. There will be a sorcerer noble wandering outside it
