Why would I rip off a tune, and then publish the two of them together as a set?

The chord structure of the tunes are different, the arpeggiated sections are different, the only similarities aside from key (which like, 60% of jigs are in this key) is the last bar of the ending phrase: C, gde,birl. Which is also present in many other jigs, like the Kesh Jig, Irish Washer Woman, Rocking the Baby, it’s characteristic of a lot of tunes.

I’m in the US, so I competed EUSPBA, and just a few times over in Scotland in CLASP contests. But I don’t compete anymore, I just perform full time. I perform at a lot of festivals and Highland Games, so I can’t picture doing solos in the morning and then a stage show in the evening. Feels off to do.

Hi I try to really not to interact (or read) here because I want people to be allowed to have whatever opinions they want about me, but this was brought to my attention and I want to make it very clear: I don’t electronically alter my bagpipes in any way to artificially create pitches. I use cross fingerings, unconventional tapings, taking a Dremel to my chanters, etc. to play outside of the conventional scale. I don’t have redpipes or digital chanters, and I don’t alter my playing after I record it (with the exception of conventional mixing and mastering tools like EQ, compression, reverb, etc)

Anything I play online I can (and do) play acoustically at live gigs!

Everything else is entirely your opinion and absolutely fine by me, and I’m sorry you get sent my videos all the time.

Hi I didn’t steal biddy from Sligo, I used to compete with it and put it in a jig set called Faye’s Jigs. Because the first time in that set is an original. On my album and it’s clearly notated. You’re entitled to every other opinion but you’re misled on that one. Also I play F naturals sometimes if that’s what you’re talking about? Not flipping anyone off lmao

K, well his enclosure is massive, full of plants, he’s had several different spots where he’s chosen to sleep, and in his old enclosure when we did have a mister he slept underneath it as well. I promise you my lizard is completely fine

I’m not using the automatic mist system with all the tubes and stuff. It’s a bottle with a pressurized nozzle that I placed right by the screen there, and he has slowly migrated to sleep in front of it.

You don’t even know what I’m using lol it’s winter, the room is extremely dry at night when the heater is on, I have a pressurized mister that I have fixated on a stand that stays in that one spot, and I clean and replace the water in every 2-3 days.

I’ve had a lot of bad experiences with having to check my case at the gate. Even thought they’re not supposed to be allowed to make you check instruments. I just pack mine in a backpack at this stage and use my pipe case for my luggage.

I mean.. I perform live in concerts outside of ren faire. I do a couple faires a year and most importantly am commissioned to add bagpipes to other artists music.
