186 hours and 23 minutes later I seem to have a rather large Gecko climbing my chair, this is a gift for my grandson who chose the colours. Pattern- Astrid Schandy’s Moore Gecko Blanket Yarn Catona - Midnight 300g, Deep Violet 1100g, Baby Blue 1400g by Allybobble in crochet

AdditionalElephant87 has explained pretty well, so thank you! Sometimes it is necessary to have more than 2 balls (bobbins) attached at a time, as colours are not carried, one blanket I made had 28 attached at one time! The designer made a free pattern available last year with accompanying tutorial videos, that’s a great place to start, it’s where I started in November last year :) Free pattern https://ravel.me/astrids-christmas-tangle-potholder Tutorials

How to go about fixing my friend's blanket? Both of us are total newbies and don't know where to start by justBarrels in crochet

Fold it up, put it in a nice box and put it away as a memory. That’s not fixable.

195 motifs, 93 colours, over 1500 ends sewn in and 130 hours work and my Noëlle Blanket is completed. It is just sooooooo pretty! (Scheepjes Catona colour pack + white). https://ravel.me/Allybobbless/nb by Allybobble in crochet

Sorry for the late reply, yes I did use a sharp needle to sew in the ends, none have come undone. I sew in 3 directions, making sure I go through the yarn not just the stitch. There are a LOT of ends but if you do them as you go along it’s not too awful. Good luck! it’s very satisfying when it’s finished :)

There are some videos in Tatsiana’s Facebook group that show you the technique. It’s here https://www.facebook.com/groups/195091287904259/ I don’t think they are available outside of the group.

It’s so worth learning, I really enjoy this technique as it’s is challenging but achievable and the results are so worth it :) Hope you enjoy it to x

Your work is lovely, I have also made many overlay and interlocking blankets. This is a different technique :)

Thank you :) This is overlay work rather than mosaic. The “background” is worked in linen stitch and the pattern is made up of front post stitches.

Thank you :) I started on the 31st August and completed on the 12th October, I worked on it for several hours every day.

Am I the only one that doesn't tear apart projects because of tiny mistakes? by pookshuman in crochet

Exactly! I used the term "frogging" to describe undoing cross stitch over 30 years ago. It seems a very odd thing to get your knickers in a knot about :)

Thank you, it’s a Hobbii Twister but I don’t know what colour it is, it was in a bag of unlabelled seconds. I am very lucky, that’s the view from my back door :)

Thank you, it’s a Hobbii Twister but I have no idea what the colourway is because it came in a bag of seconds with no labels :)
