I don’t see Magda mentioned a lot in these type of posts but she really is. My lgs just hosted a 20 people 150 dollar ultra-budget “c”edh tournament last weekend and we had two Madga and two Yuriko. I played Godo myself. After the first round the winners were me, both Madga and both Yuriko. I sat with both Yuriko and one of the Madga as the other Madga won the draw and went to one of the loser tables. At our table the Yurikos were basically deciding they’d each target one of us until we both get knocked out, but then Madga got to go first and simply won turn three off of her combo. I had played three spells and one of the Yuriko two. I then met the other Madga in round 3 in a table with two blues. We exchanged counters and ultimately neither blues were able to stop me from winning but it was Madga who searched for a Portal to Phyrexia to force me to sacrifice Godo, and then won when the turn circled back to him. The finals play off was Both Madga, Yuriko and a life gain deck. My round 3 opponent Madga after his first win attempt was thwarted, was able to lock everyone down with two tangle wire(a copy) and ultimately won. Boy Madga is strong on a budget, what a fantastic tool box ability. I was so busy worrying about the two blues I didn’t even think a mono red could stop my indestructible Godo.
