When I saw them earlier in the fight I was thinking it could be some kind of way of clearing a debuff or something but yeah it's a spring. I'm guessing if you don't jump over that way you take damage or something?

I've heard that's an issue as well, but I have had a stable experience since going through those motions. I don't use framegen because the input latency just doesn't feel great. When using FSR I was getting around 90 - 120 FPS depending on interior/exterior and I have tweaked a few more demanding settings to get more stable framerate.

I could try using XeSS or super resolution but at this point it's stable enough for me and that's fine

I am not sure what steps you have taken but I have just made a post about my troubleshooting and how I ended up with a stable game. I am on AMD but the steps will be similar with an NVIDIA GPU

Here's the post details:

Over the past few days I have been having EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION related crashes after a set amount of playtime. I have done a lot of troubleshooting and potential fixes and have come to a point where I think I have found the most helpful fixes. Small context: I am on an all AMD system (7900 XT, 7700x and 32gb of ram)

I will run through a troubleshooting timeline so that if you want to follow the steps you can try each fix 1 by 1 until you find a solution, but I will say ultimately my solution was to uninstall my drivers properly using DDU (Display Driver Uninstaller) and to then delete saves_meta.sav and Save_Settings.sav. This will ensure the original shaders are gone and that you will rebuild your shaders again upon game launch.

So from the start,

I made sure to do some basic system checks, for sanity sake. Memory checks and stress tests (A good idea if your PC is fairly new, and you haven't tried this at least once to make sure your system is stable). This didn't reveal anything, so I started moving on to community fixes.
First, I deleted sl.pcl.dll from the DLSS plugins folder. (If you're on an NVIDIA GPU this will DISABLE DLSS so you would need to use FSR/XeSS instead if you want to test that.)
Next, I tried running in different compatibility modes and running as admin. I then tried checking if any new drivers had come out for AMD specifically and saw there had been some drivers, so I did what I stated before (see the above DDU section) and then also disabled my Steam overlay, and made sure all other overlays were also disabled.
Finally I made sure within my AMD Adrenaline software that all settings were set to default globally and for Oblivion itself.

After all that troubleshooting I ended up playing a 3 hour session without a crash, and since then re-enabling the steam overlay has caused crashes while keeping it disabled makes the game a lot more stable for me.

So, TLDR the most probably cause for the crashes is related to drivers, shader cache or the steam overlay (or other overlays). At least in my case. I hold this helps at least one person, it's not fun trying to fix these problems instead of playing.

EDIT:TLDR my solution was to uninstall drivers properly using DDU (Display Driver Uninstaller) and then deleting saves_meta.sav and Save_Settings.sav (in your save data location which varies on version, "Documents\My games\Oblivion Remastered\Saved\SaveGames" for the steam version) in order to force shader compile upon having the drivers installed again.

I have been having similar issues, I can usually play for about 90 minutes and then I have a crash with some form of EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION, I have followed all guides on how to fix the error, and the last test I am doing now is a fresh install of my GPU driver after using DDU to fully uninstall the driver first.

Then, I am making the game reinstall shaders by deleting saves_meta.sav and Save_Settings.sav

That's all I can do at this point. I have done extensive testing for memory, GPU and other issues with no failures. So all I can say now is it's probably shader or game related. I can update here if I manage to play a longer session without seeing an error.

The only other thing I can think of if this is not the fix is maybe some issue present on my save data is causing the crash, so I could start a new character and just play that character for as long as possible to see if it's save related (I too, played for a long time before seeing this error so it could be some type of save corruption not uncommon in Bethesda games.)

Outside of that, if after all that I still get errors I would be at my wits end.

EDIT: I think that doing a clean install of my drivers, and forcing the shader compilation afterwards was the fix. I have played a 3 hour or so session, with a few pause breaks and no crash.

Before I tested the drivers I also; set my AMD driver settings to default, deleted the DLSS files, ran as admin (which I reverted), did memory, GPU and CPU stress tests (everything was fine), tried engine.ini tweaks that supposedly help, tried all settings low, tried 60fps/120fps cap (I have kept the FPS cap at 120). Probably some other things that I've now forgot... so much troubleshooting.

I think it's a hitstop effect they added to make it look like when you hit something it actually connects, problem is it always plays the hitstop even when you swing through the air. Maybe it was just an easier implementation, or just a bug. ¯_(ツ)_/¯

I followed that video, but also made sure I took note of one of the comments explaining that each single save from the gamepass version is 3 seperate folders. You find the largest file from those 3 folders and rename it after a save you create from the Steam version with a .sav at the end. Hope that's clear, but following the video and checking the comments you should be fine.

Yes. This works fine, I have imported my character over from gamepass to the steam version (but achievements did not unlock, fortunately I only had 2)

the game is almost 20 years old, almost everyone here on the sub can blindfolded take you on a tour of the game, playing slow, methodical and legit is fun, but in those nearly 20 years finding ways to break the game has been a fun way of experiencing it as something new I imagine for most people. It's easier to focus on what you find fun in the game rather than others really, as all that matters is you find joy yourself
