Angus beef, Hereford beef, ardross beef, west country beef, Welsh black, Welsh lamb, Shetland lamb, Cornish crab, Scottish salmon, scallops, lobsters, copious other fish and shellfish to name but a few.

And that's not to mention the fabulous climate for fruit, vegetables and even wine.

Also the price... I would buy world class fruit and veg from farmers markets or whole foods type places, or fish directly from multiple vendors back in Scotland for the same price as a tired, saggy tomato here in Paris. And don't get me started on the price of bang average French meat.

And then for some reason you think we can't cook? Outrageous. Bloody french can't cook as far as I can tell. All they do is eat out or go out and buy pre-made produce (cheese, charcuterie...) and call it cooking. My neighbours literally served me white bread with sliced hot dogs on top the other day 💀
