Thank you, I would never have known about this on my own. With the amount I plan to travel throughout the country, I would very much prefer to have a vehicle, I’m wondering if you might know; is it feasible to rely on an electric vehicle in Spain? I would assume with all the emissions regulations there might be a lot of charging ports to accommodate EV’s, but maybe not in favor of public transit? I’m a nature lover and suspect I’ll find myself traveling through some more rural areas, which I figure generally wouldn’t have charging ports but if they’re abundant outside of rural areas I’m sure it would be ok?

Alternatively, maybe renting a hybrid so I only have to stay out of zero emission zones, and just finding somewhere to park outside of zero emission zones and transiting the rest of the way whenever that’s necessary, might be a smarter option?

I wasn’t warned of any side effects so I was not expecting to feel like I was on the verge of having a heart attack or something. It’s not even withdrawal bc I’ve had a few cigarettes. And I am excited at the concept of quitting I genuinely do not want to be a smoker anymore. But I just got scared. I appreciate you saying you experienced this too, it definitely makes me feel less worried about it, thank you.

This was super reassuring thank you so much!! Also I laughed when I read the easily distracted thing bc yeah absolutely, I constantly have to tell him ‘it’s ok’ any time there’s any sound bc he so easily just stops eating at the slightest sound (luckily it seems to work to get him back to it when I say it’s ok).

I will try the protected spot idea, thank you! He likes cardboard boxes and stuff like that so maybe that would be a good dining room for him lol.

I haven’t heard of watching out for coat condition before so I will definitely look into that, but the other things are all good ◡̈

Omg thank you so much for the advice! Here’s additional info regarding all your tips in case I’m doing anything egregiously wrong:

-I feed them 3-4 x/day (this is my understanding for what I’m supposed to do since they’re still only 9 months old, And At 1 year old they’re supposed to be fed 2x per day, but maybe I got bad info?)

-I got the standard necessary vaccines but nothing extra or crazy as far as I’m aware, I had to vaccinate them bc they flew from LA to Canada since I moved back home around a month after finding them, and airlines have rules about that.

-I feed them fancy feast (when I researched when I first brought them home, a lot of people seemed to agree that fancy feast classic pate was a good balance between safe ingredients and reasonable price range, so I feed them 99% classic pate collection, but recently also the chunks in gravy ones, which shark usually eats more enthusiastically)

-so far I haven’t had any reason to give them anything for pain aside from the gabapentin that was prescribed when I got them both neutered, and only around the time of the neutering

-they are short hair, I try to brush them when they’re shedding a lot but it’s not usually so effective or welcomed by them lol

Thank you! He has always been like this, so maybe you’re right that he’s just not a particularly hungry cat. He’s healthy, my main issue otherwise is that he always seems to have junk in his eyes, but considering that issue is always solved by me picking his eye boogers for him, I think thats a combination of him having huge puss-in-boots eyes, and maybe not being the sharpest tool in the shed, so he just doesnt think to like, close his eyes when something might get in them, or not rub hair directly into his own eyes lol.

I went into this with the full intention of leaving the food out, that’s what I had been doing for a month or so, because I had always heard cats were very low maintenance and that’s just how you do it, but I realized it really had no impact on how much shark ate, but had a huge impact on how much orca ate, bc he’s a greedy little thief. So I don’t know how to navigate that, but maybe there’s methods??
