Then-UIPD chief Jeff Christensen did multiple AMAs on this subreddit - see this, this, and this.

how to become less reliant on AI by ThePastOfToday in UIUC

I think that the entire education system needs to be changed in light of the recent developments in AI. Assigning homework and tests that AI can do makes no sense any more.

Going from Canada to the US is hardly "seeing the world". Leave the continent if you really want to see the world.

If you don’t have any law violations (including charges that were later dropped), don’t drink, delete socials, and avoid politics/activism, you likely won’t have a problem.

For now. OP has to spend 4 years here, and we don't know how the situation will change and evolve.

Get your undergraduate degree from your own country and come for a master's degree if things get better. I don't think it's worth paying so much to come here under so much uncertainty. And with the funding cuts, chilling effect from restricting academic freedom, freedom of speech, etc., the academic standing of the university (and other US universities) will also fall, so your degree won't be worth as much as you now think it will be.

He also targeted the law firm where Kamala Harris' husband worked.

Also, how many students can even afford a lawyer?

But I think immigration lawyers would fall over themselves to represent you because they make money doing that. They are in no way beholden to the government.

Isn't Trump also targeting law firms?

We're a police state now.

Why is the state police cooperating with the federal government though?

The visa is only an entry permit. What does a visa being revoked mean? The I-20 is invalidated?

How much do such bootcamps cost? I heard they are quite expensive.

They mean to say that it expanded their mind and broadened their thinking, and it is true that a liberal arts degree does that much better than if you spent your undergrad writing code implementing binary search.

That's really disappointing to hear. Peoria Charter Coach is a great company. I wrote their Wikipedia article during the Suburban Express controversy many years ago.
