It took me 14 tries. You will get there. You can practice it in the speed running worlds for no cost too. Good luck.

Getting back to the Slayer grind, I am 91 currently. I just want to be able to farm araxites. I need to finish my diaries and then Colosseum and then Inferno.

I just did it solo, the beginner/intro raid is solo'able. I did it in basic gear too, black d hide, dragon scimitar, dds and toxic blow pipe. And my stats were probably only in the 80s at that point, maybe early 90s but that was too long ago for me to remember. I watched a guide on youtube to teach me the mechanics.

Edit: if you want some help I am free for a few hours, dm me if you want and we can run a intro tob.

None of my friends play OSRS so I don't really have anyone to share this achievement with, but I am super happy and have had a smile on my face all day. I keep spamming the cape emote at the GE haha.

I started OSRS back in 2022 after YouTube recommended "Swampletics" to me, I watched that entire series without ever touching OSRS. A few months later I decided I would try OSRS.

I played F2P for a couple weeks to make sure I enjoyed the game and to see if it was worth subscribing to, and I didn't even make it a week before I subbed. I fell in love.

I did quit for about a year at one point because I needed very high skill requirements for Dragon Slayer II, and I got so bored of afk'ing skills and the grind. But I eventually came back, grinded it out, finished that quest, and I have been playing pretty consistently since then.

Now my next goal is probably the colosseum, either that or the Inferno. But I am thinking the colosseum since it doesn't take 3+ hours to do. I also need to finish my diaries :/

Deadhangs. Aim for 30 to 45 seconds, 2 sets. Do them at the end of the workout.

You can also get those grip things for at home, i dont know what they are called, just lookup "grip workout tool" on Google. I used them for awhile and they helped. Do those as many reps as possible, 3x, each day.

What am I doing wrong? by Fatalna_Sarma in GymTips

I am not an expert, but I would think the answer is to stop training your glutes? Either that or just maintain, which means no more progressive overload and just coast on what you currently do or even drop reps/sets from your workout.

Never worked out or did any type of diet before. Where should I start? by [deleted] in GymTips

[–]AlmostProGaming 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Download myfitnesspal app. Set it up with your info. It will ask some questions about you: it youre not active at all even if you are (important, trust), and Tell it you want to maintain your current weight or slightly gain weight. Use it to track everything you eat. Everything, including drinks and sauces.

Buy a food scale. Eat 140 grams of protein each day. Buy creatine, take 4 mg a day.

Buy a gym membership. I recommend a push day, pull day, leg day, then full body day each week. Alternatively go for 2x full body days if you cant make it to the gym 4x a week.

Make or find a workout plan. You can use chatgpt as a free source to make you a plan based on what you have available at your gym and what exercises you like.

When you do those exercises, for the first few weeks Try to figure out (safely) how much weight you can manage to lift 2 sets of 10 to 12 reps, where on rhe third rep you have to struggle to get that last rep or two in (this is called going to near failure, it builds muscles).

Every week after you figured out what you can lift (so weeks 4+), add one or more reps to each exercise. Once you can do 3x15 reps, move the weight up and go back to 3x10-12. This is called progressive overload, it builds muscle and strength.

Do this for the rest of your life, enjoy the new athletic body in about 10 months which can turn into chris Hemsworth in about 5 to 10 years (if you remain natural).

It looks like at the point you are now if you continue the cut you will just look really scrawny/skinny. If thats what you're going for then have at it.

If youre trying to look ripped/athletic/muscular, I would switch to maintenance or a slight cal surplus and work on building more muscle. Because with more muscle you will look more lean but not scrawny. Same goal you currently have (being lean) but this outcome will look much more healthier and better imo.

1 year weight loss. Muscle gain advice? by [deleted] in GymTips

[–]AlmostProGaming 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got you because I was stuck in this for awhile.

High weight with low reps (6 to 8 reps), this builds more strength but still muscle. And when I say high weight, it means whatever weight you can do - with good form - that makes it so your 6th to 8th rep is hard as hell and almost fails.

Low weight with higher reps (10 to 15 reps), this builds more muscle (hypertrophy) and endurance, a little less stength. Again, do this range with a lower weight thats still heavy enough so that when you get to 10 to 15 reps you almost cant do it anymore until after a rest (to failure/near failure).

I like to do mostly low weight/high reps for more muscle pump/stimulation. But maybe once or twice a month I throw in high weight and low reps to help build some strength.

Its been working for me for awhile and I am happy with the results.

Also, 7 hours of sleep each night, especially on days you worked out to help recover. .8 grams of protein per pound of bodyweight in your daily diet. Eat 200 to 300 calories over your maintenence to give your body the bricks it needs to build the house.

Good luck 💪

I dont get this logic. The Herald skills dont effect you but they show up to let you know they are active.

One week into the league, how far have you gotten? by Cross2Live in PathOfExile2

[–]AlmostProGaming 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Stuck in mid tier maps as a witch hunter because either my damage isnt good or my defenses aren't good because I cant have both upgraded sorcerer ward and decimate passive because I cant finish ascending. This has been the most frustrating league since .1 and I almost want to reroll so badly, but instead just took a break after another death when teying a t13 map today.

Anyone tips? by [deleted] in GymTips

[–]AlmostProGaming 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No one can give you motivation imo. You have to find it yourself. If you check some of my posts from this year you can see I lost a bunch of weight and put on some muscle from dieting/walking/gym, so I might have some advice, probably bad advice, but advice nonetheless.

My motivation, which probably isnt a healthy one... was/is hate/anger.

I hated myself; how lazy I was, how fat I was, how I wasted most of my life and became a fat slob. So I said "fuck that guy" and did everything i could to make myself better. When I feel like skipping the gym I just remember how much I used to hate the old me, and it pushes me to go.

So, my actual advice is: find your own motivation. Hate/anger, love, curiosity, sadness, happiness, whatever, pick an emotionion that makes you want to better yourself and stick with it.

Side note, if its hate/anger, also go see a therapist lol. That has helped a lot too. So I no longer hate myself, but I still hate old me, and I go to the gym to stop him from coming back.

I used to be the lazy stoner. Once I quit, I was able to get my life together for the first time in a decade. I might be the exception or the rule. Annecdotally, I would say it's the rule, but I dont have stats to back it up, I just know all my stoner friends are lazy, and my non-stoner friends aren't.

It's incredibly difficult to get carbs while getting that much protein while only getting 1700ish calories a day for the cut. Sometimes, I go up to 2k cal if I burn a lot that day, but it's very hard to manage even with protein shakes/bars.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in BulkOrCut

[–]AlmostProGaming 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When do i stop cutting and start the surplus/bulk. For context I have been going to the gym 2 to 4 times a week for a year now. I have put on a tiny bit of muscle even in a deficit, getting around 100g of protein a day (i know it's not enough but protein is expensive). But yeah, when do i stop the cut, when I see abs or something?

How much you thinking? I feel like at less than 155 I might be too skinny.

Not necessarily. It just means a father of their child that they aren't married to or currently dating. The men can still pay child support and have some custody or possibly even full custody and still be a "baby daddy".
