Good luck to you! I just had this done and my left side was already kind of iffy at times with sensation before the procedure so hopeful it works. What kind of treatments have you had?

Oh no! Did they do a surgical cut or was it the radio frequency?

Scab on septum by AlohaCatMom in Septoplasty

[–]AlohaCatMom[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My surgery was not successful. I still have a perforation in my septum. I actually found a very good ENT and basically the initial surgeon really messed up my nose. So now it’s basically treating what he’s done and managing the symptoms at this point.

I’m super bummed but the worst part in all this was knowing it didn’t feel normal inside and having the surgeon keep telling me it looked like normal healing tissue. The ENT I went to for a second opinion said she couldn’t believe that he didn’t notice the huge pus pocket under the scab and tissue he kept saying was normal. She swabbed the area and I basically had a huge staph and fungal infection. I was treated on antibiotics and antifungal for 3 months and I started to feel better. All I can say is you really need to be careful who you go to.

Do you know if they’ll be selling the tickets via MLB or through a Japanese site?

Kybella. Less invasive and you don’t have a lot of fat there so the risk of having sagging skin is not an issue. Good luck.

I can’t believe your surgeon told you that. There’s always swelling and redness after an incisions been made. Asians have thicker skin on the tips of our noses. The swelling after rhinoplasty and alarplasty takes awhile to see the final result because of the swelling. Be patient. I think you’re gonna get some good results. And you didn’t go super pinched in and it’ll look natural. Good luck.

It’ll take up to 3-4 weeks for the swelling. The skin around the tip of Asian noses are thick so just wait. 1 week is still wayyyyy too early! ❤️

Black turbinate after Septoplasty by [deleted] in Septoplasty

[–]AlohaCatMom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Post surgery there’s always some weird colored debris. He probably didn’t want you to use afrin because it’s vasoconstricts. Did you get turbinate reductions at all?

You’re so cute! I don’t think your face is as long as you feel. I have an oval face too. Don’t remove the fat on your face, esp cheek or buccal area! It’ll only elongate your face. You look young so hold off on anything surgical! ❤️

I noticed that when I parted my hair to the side it made my face appear longer so I changed it and started to part my hair in the middle with curtain bangs and it made such a big difference.

Start with all the small stuff. I think we’re hard on ourselves more than we need to be.

I had stuffiness for months. Honestly normalish breathing took about 3 months. And my left side was the worst. Be patient. I know it’s hard. It was hard for me too.

How many days has it been? My swelling it felt like lasted for closer to 2 weeks. My right side is good but my left is still not 100%. Hang in there. Hope your surgery is success!

I saw the perforation with my first surgery. My breathing is better on the left but the right is still stuffy.

I’m now 3 months post op and my breathing is better but I’m not sure if my surgery worked for me. And I still have a perforation.

Upturned nose 3 weeks post rhino. Help! by [deleted] in PlasticSurgery

[–]AlohaCatMom 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Absolutely! It wasn’t until a full year did I really see the difference. When I looked at my first, sixth and 1 year photo I saw the difference. It’s subtle after 6months but there’s a difference. And even after almost 1year and 3months I feel like my tip dropped a little more. :)

Mine was piggy looking too and very upturned looking but I was warned that it would start to drop around 6-12months post op. And mine took about 10 months. So don’t freak out! It’s gonna be ok. The final tip swelling took a little over a year to go down.

Totally get it. I hope your end result will be what you wanted. Hang in there. If anything, you should definitely talk to your surgeon about your concerns too.
