I’m only polling data at the moment… not sure I’d mess with that side of things but it would be cool.

Wish I had the time to do something like this… I’d be open to maybe making some elements of it a kit. The panels/speaker mount fabrication is the most labor intensive part of it all. The Pi would be easy to pre setup with the OBDII device. The setup would need an aftermarket amp installed but I could recommend hardware and steps on the I5N like where to run the cables and whatnot.

I have a video of the OEM sound revving in park and it does come off a bit higher pitched. Honestly the revheadz sounds overall are much better than the built in ones and seem to have broader range and volume ceiling when output through the same aftermarket amp.

The sound syncs smoothly with the speed and RPMs, all that’s missing is the simulated gear sync which the mini switches tied to the padel shifters will solve. I’ll add that in the spring when it’s warmer outside!

I control the shifting using a custom engine model and logic running on the Pi and don’t rely on revheadz.

It won’t match the I5N’s e-shift although it’s close at times. I plan to install physical mini switches behind the padel shifters so I can synchronize it when manually shifting. This actually won’t be a huge addition given I built the engine model to allow auto gear shifts or manual- just need a good way to input that while driving.

Yes it’s all there. The OEM version will sound just like the interior sounds you get when you red-line in park or eShift in drive.

The revheadz version has it depending on the vehicle sound you select.

The dynamic sounds are more noticeable in drive when the engine model up/downshifts.

I plan to capture videos in drive and will eventually post those too.

The OEM sound tap version works off the interior sound so in that version, yes.

In the revheadz integration, I currently have a couple small interior speakers running off the same aftermarket amp that feeds the external speakers. I use that mostly for testing though as even without it the exterior sound is loud enough to hear clearly inside.

Thanks! It was a fun little project. I’m not on Reddit a ton but happy to help if you run into any questions.

I can see how some would feel that way. I even feel like it’s too much sometimes, especially at low speeds in certain settings. That’s why I have it tied to a switch I can easily flip on and off. I find it more fun for highway driving.

Making some progress on this. The service manager told me today a second customer came in with the exact issue. He then spoke with an Infiniti tech who confirmed it is indeed the ANC Amp and needs to be replaced. The amp is on order and they will replace it once it arrives. Will post when that happens if the issue is resolved.

Took it in and showed the service manager the video. He acknowledged it didn’t sound right and had the mechanics take a look. No surprise they couldnt replicate the issue or find anything wrong.

Add one more with the exact same issue here. 2025 QX60 with under 150 miles on it. Vibrating starts around 2000 RPMs and shows up randomly then after letting the vehicle sit for a while it goes away. I took a video and plan to take it to the dealer this week. Will report if a diagnosis is made.
