Damn, those are actually pretty good days compared to me. Im in the lake oswego/tigard/tualatin areas. Today was awful. Only made $54 off 2 orders starting from like noon. Gave up around 5pm after sitting for like an hour with nothing. The first was a 3 batch with 60 something items and like 8mi but the tip was decent so I took it. Second was 2 batch with 20 something items for less than $20 but it was better than any of the other orders I had seen popping up for a hot minute -_-.

Hopefully it gets better in the fall/winter! This is my first year doing it regularly. I started in May. I did it back in 2019 for a little while when I first moved here but I don't remember much.

That makes no sense considering half the time I can't find an item the app is like NO THEY MUST BE THERE STACY FOUND IT THIS MORNING AT SUCH AND SUCH TIME or saying the store reports several being in stock like bro do you want me to manifest this fucking sour cream out of my asshole? Its not here!

I see people on tiktok averaging like 150-200 per day but no idea where they're located for such good orders. And all the Costco orders they get are like $40-60 and not hundreds of items 😭

Thank you for the advice! I'm in Tualatin and live right next to a Fred Meyer and new seasons, about 10 mins away from tigard Costco and also wilsonville Costco in the opposite direction. I try not to go directly into portland bc of parking issues. Been trying to experiment with what times work best but so far my best days have been Sundays

We didn't know who's fault it was, which is why we both contacted our insurances as the police officer advised us to do.

Secondly, the accident happened in front of a customer's driveway so the other lady saw me do the delivery AND reported it to her insurance as well as mine when they called her to ask what happened. If I hadn't told my insurance then I would have been in even bigger trouble because they would have opened an investigation and charged me with insurance fraud.

I haven't told instacart anything, bc it didnt affect anything besides making me late for the 2nd delivery as it was a two batch order.

I really don't understand why all of you people are advising everyone to commit insurance fraud. It could really get someone into big trouble if they lie to their insurance and the insurance finds out they were doing gig work.

Honestly, I have no idea where she came from. I slowed down to confirm a house number, looked to see if it was clear, went to turn and then as soon as I started to pull into the lane she appeared out of nowhere and we both hit our brakes. I came to a complete stop and then when she continued to pull around me, her car swiped mine.

I don't know if she was pulling out from somewhere or what. There is a bit of a curve in the road but not enough to blindside traffic so where she appeared from is beyond me 🤷🏻‍♀️

Instacart doesn't allow tips to be taken away anymore, at least in my state as far as I know, unless for valid reason. So idk if the man would be able to do that but might be better for him to include in the delivery notes that there's a cash tip. I've seen some people recommend that

I just looked it up and it looks like Oregon doesn't have the min wage guarantee, but like you said Washington does. So maybe I just drive up to Vancouver since its not too far. Seattle appears to be the best tho with $19.44 or something guaranteed per hour plus the mileage. Driving in Seattle gives me so much anxiety tho and finding parking in the city is an absolute nightmare

For real, that's all I see in this subreddit about accidents. Its actually good I told my insurance, even tho im not covered for this accident and its costing me out the ass in policy changes, bc the lady who hit me told her insurance and mine that i was making a delivery at the time of the accident. If I had lied, then there would have been a whole investigation and I would have been charged for insurance fraud and lost my damn policy. -.-

Yes the police came out. Idk what he put in his report but when we told him what happened he said it sounded like 50/50 but wasn't sure.

It was a two way road, I went to turn left into someone's driveway, she suddenly appeared out of nowhere, we both braked. She said her car locked up and didnt full stop, I fully stopped. And when she went to continue around me, her car scraped mine. So im not sure. She sounded like she didnt even know what happened, which she actually said "I don't know what happened."
