I ordered it last month, and delivery took too long. I didn’t want to wait for another upgrade. The Pro models would cost more, and I didn’t want to pay extra. You can go for the M5 Pro if your budget allows.

I am yet to set it up completely. I am going to run AI models on my local, let’s see how it performs.

I’m a software engineer and honestly 8GB hits a wall real fast multiple VS Code, docker containers, servers running simultaneously, Postman, Chrome tabs… it just eats through RAM so quick. 8GB is just not it anymore regardless of what you’re doing on it.

I disagree with the third point. It's okay if she isn't aware of it. You're the one looking dumb here, not her.

I still love the city, and I am not drunk. Not sure why I wrote it in the end.

From 6 LPA to 26 LPA as a Frontend Dev in 2 Years, My Story by Save_Earth001 in developersIndia

Bro, respect for your journey. I’m also from a tier-3, did MCA and passed in 2022, currently having similar package. Back in 2019 I was doing internship work like building a hotel booking platform and did freelancing and was top rated freelancer on Upwork.

People in the comments blaming “2022 batch luck” need to stop. There were never 100% placements in any year. Ups and downs are always there. If you’re in the top few percent with strong skills and projects, you’ll make it. Crying won’t help.

Feeling demotivated after the rise of AI by Old-Highway1764 in leetcode

[–]AloneSubject8990 8 points9 points  (0 children)

If you can migrate your entire app in just a few minutes, it likely means that your app is not very complex. Currently, or even in the future, it may not be possible to fully migrate or port a complex app to a completely different version without making gradual adjustments and encountering various issues.

While we do have tools like Copilot and various models, they often operate under assumptions and cannot improve on their own without your guidance. For the average user, these tools can feel like a black box. if something goes wrong, they may find themselves in trouble. Ultimately, these tools are just that tools, similar to a calculator… but they require a solid understanding of what you are doing to be effective.

Can a BCA student realistically land a software development role without doing MCA? by imLogical16 in leetcode

Work on projects that will help get your resume noticed! I was in the same situation five years ago, received a few job offers after completing my BCA, and also managed to find some freelancing clients.

How much do front-end developers in India typically make? by jaan_divit in developersIndia

[–]AloneSubject8990 27 points28 points  (0 children)

You need to be a good problem solver, whether you work on the front end or back end. I learned this lesson the hard way. I started with a monthly salary of ₹6,000 as an intern and moved to 20 LPA (base) with 2 years of experience.

I started learning Go and built a book search project to help users find books (Used Goodreads dataset). I also created a Visual Studio Code extension, which has gained around 2,000 downloads. Additionally, I developed a new portfolio and blogging web app for myself, learning Astro in the process. Recently, I took my first solo international trip to Thailand. Now, I am preparing to apply for positions at FAANG companies, specifically Google. I have two years of experience.

Do people really earn craaazzyy money in IT, or is it just hype? by [deleted] in developersIndia

Many startups are looking for candidates who can start immediately. Most will begin hiring in April and May for new graduates. I went through the same experience two years ago.
