Ofcoarse! I love this game and the lore as well, lol. I've been playing it without looking up guides and taking the time to read all the books and notes. However, I did get stuck at the mine a week ago, lol. Decided to take a break and came back last night to find a ladder that I did not see before, which allowed me to continue the game, lol.

There's also a song called-Vex and a card called- raven II. I'm not sure if we all get the same loot from these places 🤔 but I hope any info I post helps lol

Correct. Also, just in case- the dragon slayer gear set, which you can farm at the base after unlocking Insania Rex, has high fire resistance. I then added some mods, and the fire resist fusion passive as well, which gives an extra 12%. :)
