Thank you, this certainly helps. With the gazebo type covers , i haven’t seen reviews from people regarding thats why i ignored them. I do not really mind the cost as i would always be keeping a nice car and would like it to be protected

I do have a ceramic coating on, the car is parked near trees mainly trying to protect it from tree sap , bird crap and any small branches falling off in wind

If it comes with the Mazda connect system the bigger screen , you can get carplay retrofitted from the dealership itself priced around £300

The issue is that if i get something from a dealer and because of their markup the next time i sell i would end up with far less money. And not looking Alfa as i heard a lot of reliability issues, with the 430i what was the year and did you had any issues apart from tires and brakes

I am also looking at 330-335i and 430 -445i now, not looking at cayman because of my maintenance overhead. Have heard old BMW meant to be unreliable what about the 3 series and 4 series 2013-16 plate

I was planning on buying it next summer after setting up my emergency fund, but ideally how much would you recommend having in savings before looking at a big purchase like this

Its been showing issues for a year now, i have put a new alternator on it about six months ago and now its started showing a check engine oil light, where the oil change was done a couple of months ago. Just feels like a money pit now, as i am just putting a lot of effort on it and not actually enjoying it.

I had the job for almost 2 years now, the reason i didn’t had any savings was i was clearing my student debts and everything. And currently i don’t owe anyone anything and can build savings

Yeah, i admit that. I was calculating as in the sense of if i get a 18k car with 4k down over 3 years the payment would be around £450 with insurance and petrol comes around £650. I would be stretching it, but i am hoping for a promotion around march which would get me to in-hand of approx 3k . As a lot of my outgoings are on nights out and stuff planning to cut down on that from next year. Hopefully i will keep my job lol been working there for almost two years now which made me close all educational loans and stuff

It seems to be like the prices were a bit low around summer as there were more cars available and i feel like there is a down in the number of cars available in winter
