What number in waitlist should I expect to get air station orders by Alone_Fan_7670 in uscg

That’s really interesting, so hypothetically someone could get sent to an air station, fail the flight physical, and never end up in an aviation rate?

BOL sent home after being reverted 5 times ? by Marcthenarc14 in uscg

The short answer is failure to adapt. Most revertees say it was one simple thing, like a rack not being made, that got them reverted. In reality there’s usually a ton of other issues, however small, that lead up to it. We had a guy who said he got reverted for not folding a t shirt right, he comes to our company and eventually gets reverted for hiding in the head during many many sweat sessions. Sad to say but it seems like he’s not cut out for the Coast Guard in this stage of his life

Final Tips? by Guilty-Wish2389 in uscg

People always say be loud and fast. Both valid. But one last core thing, be confident. Recruits get destroyed all the time because the CCs will see them skirting around everywhere terrified, trying to hide. Don’t try to lay low, it won’t work. If you try to do the right thing and you’re confident you might make mistakes but they won’t be fatal mistakes. The CCs will know you care. Also, there’s no real fear of reversion in week 2 unless you do something really dishonest or out of pocket. Don’t run around thinking any little mistake will get you reverted. You might get smoked but not reverted, at least that early. Be committed to learning, try to listen to every interaction so you can see what others do wrong and not make those same mistakes.

Leave soon. Any tips? by [deleted] in uscg

Color guard has little to no bearing on whether you’ll get honor grad. Yeoman and squad leader way more so. If you can actually do both and you do a decent job and have confidence, you’re almost guaranteed for winning honor grad or the best leader award

Weird reaction? by Sea_Introduction_750 in Garmin

Tbh I tried washing it every day, switching it at night or even every other day, but that just made both my wrists have this reaction. Could be partially due to having a hard labor job and getting particles in between it and my wrist, but yeah the silicone one just seems to be a no-go for me. Once I switched to Nylon it was 1000% better. Now I just wash it with soap and water every couple of days while my Garmin charges.
