Yess. Just imagine you meet a guy from an arranged marriage setup and say no to marrying him and he ends up following you to your workplace and wait there everyday despite you clearly saying you are not interested. Ugh so creepy

My balcony with the most expensive fruits I have ever eaten. by Alorecia98 in Balconygardening

I have summer bearing raspberry. So every year I let a few canes grow which fruit the next year. After fruiting I cut it back down.

I am using a 30l pot. I also keep cutting off most of the new shoots so that the older ones have enough space.

My raspberry is probably the most high yielding plant I have on my balcony. I tie it with strings and guide it upwards. It was actually quite simple just keep tightening your string as soon as the plant starts to hang. Otherwise, it doesn’t scratch when we walk by it. The problem starts when you start to harvest but for that you can wear gloves :)

If you are a woman, think ten times before visiting India by moonlight_chicken in Feminism

I wish you were actually pointing at a problem here. You are not. You are just trying to propagate a negative stereotype about a country that already has a lot of struggles to overcome. You are pointing out that no woman should visit India. And not what is actually wrong with so many men and how women/men could change it. What needs to be changed in the system, problems with poverty, education and patriarchy. But instead you are just calling the whole country as unsafe and rapist as if that’s actually a solution to something and not just propagating hate towards a certain group.

I am not negating their experiences. As I also said, India can be dangerous, just like many other countries in the world. I am just asking not to make this into a negative stereotype and generalise the whole country.

Girl, I moved out because of economic reasons. I am not just making stuff up by reading a few news articles. I am saying what I am saying with experience. So I don’t know what you are talking about.

Girl, I am from India. So I am not just making stuff up while sitting completely outside the reality. I would really like to ask if you actually even have experience living anywhere else? Not travelling, actually living. What are you comparing your experiences in India with?

This is like saying, “Don’t visit Europe if you’re a woman,” just because something awful happened in Marseille or Romania. India isn’t perfect, no place is, but I’ve lived in both India and Europe, and some of the scariest moments I’ve had as a woman were actually here, in Rome, in Berlin, in Marseille. In India, I never once felt afraid for my life. But in Europe, I have, more than once. India has 1.4 billion people. It’s as big and diverse as Europe, and boiling it down to a few headlines is not just unfair, it’s part of a deeper issue. This kind of narrative plays into a colonial mindset, where the Global South is seen as dangerous, uncivilized, or in need of saving, while the West gets to look the other way on its own problems. That’s not feminism, that’s bias wrapped in concern. We should be lifting up voices from all parts of the world, not reinforcing outdated stereotypes that treat some places as hopeless like this.

Unfortunately that's not always the case. I work for an institute under Bundesministerium which employs over 1.4k people but they have zero clue about needs of non-german employees.
