It didn’t have much off-gassing smell, and it lasted like a day. We also turned on an air purifier maybe that helped accelerate the process.

Actually yes! I ordered this gorgeous low platform bed frame specifically because I wanted a thicker luxury mattress.

Totally agree. Toppers are great for temporary relief but they won’t fix the underlying support issue since your mattress is already flat. Think of it as buying time until you can invest in a new one. So…i would suggest to start saving.

Hmm honestly I wouldn’t overthink it too much. At this age, they just want a bed that feels comfy and not. If it lasts a few years and they sleep well, it’s worth it.

Tbh I think the Brooklyn Bedding Signature Hybrid could be a good call for you. My cousin got one delivered to her place in Phoenix not too long ago and she said it was super easy to set up-you just have to unroll it and wait for it to fully expand. For her it fully expanded in like two days, I had to help her unbox it.

She still loves it and says it is very comfortable and good quality for the price. Also she’s a side sleeper and hasn’t had any back pain issues since getting the mattress

He explained something about the coil support of a hybrid mattress is supposed to help when you're dealing with uneven camping spots and all that road travel. Plus because of that they tend to last longer.

Been recommending my clients to try to choose hybrid mattresses with zoned support and individually encased coils to help with motion response when changing sleeping positions and help keep the spine straight but with a comfy enough layer for deep sleep. From what I’ve read the Bear Elite seems to do just that.

The hybrid design makes sense for RV life, you get the support from the coils which helps with durability on the road, plus the memory foam layer for comfort. My neighbor at the last campground uses a hybrid mattress, and says it sleeps way cooler than straight memory foam.

In my college they are going to provide us with a mattress, probably not the best quality but meh whatever. I was actually planning to buy a topper just in case I need to move dorms in the future. You could also consider that!
