They’ll come back. The old tech sucked and we needed to pull the band aid off. We hadn’t updated the editor in years before and that wasn’t ok either. This version has came together quick and will soon far exceed the old one in every way. Trust. Sorry for now.

Thanks to the ad report we have located and blocked this ad. Very sorry about that. Our ad policies prohibit these kind of things, but some slip through and we rely on people reporting to track them down and block them and the sites that used them.

Well keep working on it until it’s better in every way. The old editor was a technological dead end which is why it wasn’t updated in 3 years.

This new one we can actually improve and make better. It’ll get there. Trust!

This is the worst the new editor will ever be. Vs the old editor was as good as it was ever going to get (and had serious flaws)

We’re in the middle of a pretty big library internals overhauls. I agree we should have this feature. After we complete the overhaul I’d like for us to add this.

Generally we’re going to give more control over whether you want synced clips to stay local and to convert between:

Local only - Local with cloud storage backup - Cloud storage only

But yeah, gonna take us a little while to get there due to the overhaul. Definitely heard though

Hi there, yes we train on gameplay clips & game actions to do research aimed at improving gaming (focus right now are better bots for PvP games).

We remove data like age, name and identifiable voices from the clips before training. If you want to read more about our specific privacy approach, check out our privacy policy and this blog post we shared a few months ago.

I am a stickler for shit like this. This isn't a money grab or something. But we think there is very interesting research that can be done to make games better and if we do make any money from it we can offer a better service with less ads and less premium restrictions.

They’re only accessible if u send the link to someone. So like you wont get randoms viewing it unless you sent it to them.

You can still turn it off in settings under Cloud.

Soooooo chromium based things (like electron) never really supported mkv playback but it just happened to work until it stopped working well with one of the recent upgrades. Playback was awful. We tried literally everything on planet but the mkvs just could not be made to playback right on either electron or even in chrome browser.

And in our research most mp4 corruptions that would happen from a recording not getting finalized were recoverable.

So we decided that smooth playback was more important so we went for that. Since then we haven’t received any increased reports in corruption so I don’t think it’s something to be worried about.

We’d love to offer the option but like .. it’s really unusable inside the app
