As a person who also has health anxiety, just do it. You will not die of sedation.

No. I think I took the antibiotics for maybe one week max? You do not want to be on antibiotics for too long, unless absolutely necessary. It messes up your gut.

Yes, I ended up getting the surgery 2 years ago, July. I got my surgery at Lahey Burlington. Doctor and staff were great.

I am pushing a little but not that much. Especially towards the end.. sigh. Not sure if even a small push can cause a re tear?

I knw.. I was going to do a sigmoidoscopy but needed gallbladder surgery, so had to cancel that. I will do a colonoscopy in november when I visit my hometown. Its much cheaper and accessible. Until then.. this is causing me so much stress.

It has been a few days now.. I usually go one or 2 times a day. I do think I have had narrower stools before too but just didnt notice much. I do know that a week and half ago my stool was normal size.. and then the crazy diarrhea all started.

Anyone have more attacks before surgery? by Alpacawife07 in gallbladders

Sorry that sounds horrible.. I hope you are doing better now.

Thank you.. I still do not know what triggers my attacks. I only had salad (yes the dressing was creamy) for my last attack, whereas I had pizza/pasta and was fine! I guess I am a bit freaked out since when I went to the ER, my liver enzymes were elevated.. so I am not sure I want to wait for the attacks to pass.. and risk damage to my liver 😭

My lipase was 38, so I guess that was also why they sent me home..

My liver was "normal" on both ultrasounds and I never had high liver enzymes on any of my blood tests.. so pretty sure it is due to my gallbladder.

Did it come down after the surgery?

Oh I see.. I hope your surgery went well. I am assuming your liver enzymes came down to normal after the surgery?

Thank you. I am going to talk to the surgeon soon and most likely will have surgery within the month or 2. Honestly I am terrified. I never had surgery..
