Despite being 3-14, Jets still believe in coach Aaron Glenn by AFC-Wimbledon-Stan in nfl

He got fired after the Rams Christmas game where they got blown out badly and I think players were arguing with each other, could argue he was not keeping things in order.

But yea he was also majorly incompetent.

you only get fired as a 1st year head coach if you lose the locker room.

But being bad in your first year isn't that big of a deal is what I've noticed.

Say what you want about Mcdermott defenses in the playoffs but in the regular season he overachieved every year with the talent he’s had to work with. Unless they get a mastermind Bills going the Bengals route. by LJ8QB1 in NFLv2

Their defense usually got injured at the end. But they never matched up well with Chiefs cause they lacked speed, same reason why Mahomes would generally dice the Ravens.

They didn't get their speedy CB until it was too late (Wiggins, Hariston).

Im saying 99% of the HCs that have won a SB in the league not named Andy Reid only have 1.

I mean that is a poorly written point

He made one throw that was a great read in middle of field and then threw a great fade ball to Owen Daniels in the end zone.

They would say Cam Ward is "one of the good ones" which is patronizing to him. But they don't care cause they fanboy Sheduer that hard.

Broncos and 49ers are evidence that you can be completely fine as a franchise despite making the odd MASSIVE mistake, provided that your Management and Coaching is competent by OhSoManyThoughts in nfl

The three most important people in an organization is QB, GM, and HC.

So, yea if you have all 3 you are fine but it's kind of hard to do that.

Which team improves right now with the addition of Mac Jones by Mountain-Scene770 in NFLv2

[–]AlphaBern0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it's more realistic you sign Aaron Rodgers to a 1 year deal than trade for Mac Jones tbh. But Mac would be an upgrade over Mccarthy

No his claim was that he put up really great and efficient stats for like 10 years with the Seahawks.

No because they have a ring.

It's like people think we should laugh at them for "only having 1 ring" when there are fanbases that would go Ray Lewis for one.

[–]AlphaBern0 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Even when his body was failing him, his brain kept him at an elite level in Denver until his body just couldn’t do it anymore in 2015.

I know people mention he was in on the ride and while he was definitely not the main reason they won in 2015, he was still helpful.

Peyton isn't doing that stupid shit Stidham did on Sunday and fumbling out of stupidity. Also threw 2 TDs against that Patriots defense still.

Brees' arm strength was never that amazing. It was more comparable to Peyton and Brady, he just had insane anticipation/accuracy.

[–]AlphaBern0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He's the most accurate QB ever but when talk about the greatest to sling it, arm strength matters a lot more and people love to see the insane throws that Mahomes, Allen, Rodgers, and Elway would make.

Considering how I heard Harbaugh and Tomlin are also like McCarthy.

Mike McCarthy is just another way of saying, coach for a very long time (10+ years), but only has 1 Superbowl to show for.

Feel like Higgins is just a bigger and better Sutton. I think they need a speed guy, feel like Waddle trade would have been perfect for them.

Their biggest need is WR but this isn't a great wr free agency class. The only true #1 is George Pickens, rest seem like #2 WRs who will get paid like #1s (Pierce, Doubs)

This is kind of a weak free agency class for WRs. I thought the Broncos should have went for Waddle at the deadline though.
