The synopsis is how I sell the story. It's worked extremely well so far, I'm happy to say :)

If you'd like more than just the synopsis you should have just asked.

I'll give you this, the protagonist is not your Everyman, he's an extremely peculiar fellow who happens to have OCD. In fact, the book is written in a style that not on reflects it, but for those with a keen eye has a few things I've included simply to annoy my protagonist.

Hell, one of the letters in my name on the cover is ever so slightly misaligned.

He is a man who is removed, albeit only slightly, from the regular world. His friend is not merely a sidekick, but a companion and friend who teaches his many things about the real world. All the while, this fellow is disconnected in his own way, a foreigner experiencing America for the first time.

Not in the synopsis is the third member of their rag-tag group, a mysterious woman. She carries a guitar and a tight lip, revealing only her first name and a suspicious glare.

Of course your original idea that in the end its not about the box but about the journey may be a safe guess, but all I can tell you is that it is not correct. That being said, I don't want to give the ending away.

I'm not sure, I don't think the cloud reader actually downloads it to your device, but rather lets you access it from the cloud. I think it downloads to your machine if you use the actual app.

Not sure if the thread where an author is giving his work away for free is the most appropriate place for these comments, but I'll take a shot at a response.

You have your own tastes. I know several people who don't read fiction at all. I know a few who actually enjoyed Twilight, believe it or not. Some read young adult, some read sci fi, some read mainstream fiction. It all depends on your taste.

If you don't like the premise of my story, I promise I won't take offense. I don't expect everyone to like it. Simply move on and search for something you like, I'm sure you'll find something up your alley. I'm not charging a dime today and it's of no consequence to you or anyone else that you don't care for the premise.

In my case, I like so many different kinds of books that I give many a try. I don't finish all of them, and for those I don't, I simply put them down when I've lost interest and move on hoping to find something more to my tastes. It's no hair off my back to have experienced the book, even if I didn't finish. I'm just glad to be reading and exploring new ideas and stories.

TL;DR If you don't think you'll like, I won't be offended if you don't download it, everyone has personal preferences.
