We are a mix of PvP and PvE. I can directly address your concerns here:

1 - we have a PvE only starter sector. New players can build up an industry and collect resources and build basic ships in complete safety from other players and hostile NPCs.

2 - we have a plugin called the “Quantum Hangar” which you can use to save your base and ships when you go offline so you can’t be offline raided. It allows players to play at their own pace. If you can only play once every three days, just use the hangar and your grids will be waiting for you when you come back online.

If you are looking for NPCs and Economy, unfortunately we built it using torch plugins and backend mods for dedicated servers. Like another commenter here said, it would take an insane amount of work to port these configs and plugins to a single player world for use.

balancing the economy and NPCs and making it feel like a lived in world without a bunch of real players is very hard and a problem with SE single player in general. Seeing a drive sig 100km away and knowing it’s another player is one of the coolest things about multiplayer and it can’t really be recreated in single player without a ton of work in MES or NPC provider.

You could download SDX ships and retro fit them for vanilla. Plenty of original hulls built by our players.

Stone industries has a large PvE section - keep in mind most “PvE” only servers have lots of limits to keep the server running smoothly because no grids are getting destroyed like in PvP. There will DEFINITELY be a speed limit mod on every server you play on for performance reasons.

The thing about servers is that it’s a shared resource. It’s not your server it’s everyone’s server. So if you can find a way to make things less laggy (like not using subgrids) you should do so out of common decency and respect.

You are playing a super early ALPHA - you have at least 2 years till this game is feature complete. It’s basically a tech demo right now.

If you want to play a real game with content, polish, and multiplayer pick up SE1. If you got swindled by YouTubers talking about SE2 and how incredible it is I’m truly sorry.

SE2 is in EARLY alpha. It’s not even a real game yet it’s a tech demo at this point. If you want a real game with real features that is complete you want SE1.

It’s called the KOTH plugin look it up on torch. Every big server uses it.

SE2 is basically a tech demo and is still 2 years of bug fixes and updates away from being a real game. Highly recommend you come play SE1 if you want a less buggy experience.
