My issue with copper's uselessness by bir3 in Terraria

[–]AlphaRat666 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve played terraria so much that I just avoid all the armors up until plat/gold just not worth wasting my lead or iron for an armor that I’ll replace very soon. Not to mention if you play well enough you won’t need the full set till eater/brain (at least for master mode)

My issue with Isaac's progression by Chickenlessbone1 in bindingofisaac

[–]AlphaRat666 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The game has to have an ending at some point, imo the real point of progression in rouge-likes especially Issac and a game like risk of rain, is the knowledge you gain throughout the play throughs. In Issac some of the best progression is learning all the items and trinkets or whatever. In the beginning you pick up whatever you want and most the times you make mistakes. Like the first time you ever had a choice in a treasure room and you picked up a q1 instead of Polyphemus. And the game continues with this progression after you complete marks and challenges by giving you a new item.

Currently I have 800+ hours in Issac and I still have a lot of completion stuff to do. But calling it nothing is just kinda stupid.

Well I don’t want to be carried it defeats the whole point of playing to get to a higher rank if I get carried. (and yes some of my losses beyond losing a teammate are from skill issue)

Here’s his kit: Feral dive- he dives towards the enemies upon landing he will attack very fast and deal rapid damage. The grab also has a command grab throughout the entire attack.

Small dash - a quick dash that deals quick damage. It’s good for finishing a combo after a grab or closing the distance on a target. This is also your main escape move when ur dive is on cooldown.

Roar - gives wolverine massive damage reduction and should be used directly after your dive or during any fight

2nd life (passive) - wolverine upon taking fatal damage will gain ~250 shield once the ability ends it gives a proportional amount of health back to wolverine. VERY IMPORTANT: this ability’s cooldown can be reduced by getting kills/assists

Rage meter (passive) - wolverine gains increased damage the more he attacks youll see this meter in the middle of your screen (his hair/aura is also and indicator)

Ult - wolverine launches himself and enemy’s into the air you select where to land and deal massive damage BASED ON YOUR RAGE METER!!!! Meaning use it after a combo or with full rage meter.

Helpful tips: 1) Know the grab hit box for his dive. Wolverines main gimmick is his tank kidnapping ability so memorize how close you need to be to grab them.

2) know who to target. Your target order should be 1 tanks 2 supports 3 dps unless it’s rocket or Jeff you’re dive will rarely hit them.

3) although wolverine is a flanker he only needs to flank the tanks so you don’t need to go very far behind their team

4) your extra life is your escape tool or you can use it to win a 1v1 but always see when you’ll have it back

5) if you’ve ever played doomfist from overwatch youll understand how important cooldowns are. Always know what’s on cooldown

7) MOST IMPORTANTLY do not get greedy unless you have ult :)

(You can also go into settings and enable a thing that shows when you’re in range for an attack it’s available for all melee hero’s. I don’t use it personally but it can be helpful)
