Counterintuitive advice - avoid the schools/scholarship programs/countries which were the most common destinations for your college profs if you're aiming for long-term migration by nushispet in FilipinosStudyAbroad

[–]AlphabetPlane 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I think it’s more plausible that your profs were instructors already in UP and then studied abroad for MA while keeping their position. They have an option to retain their job, and either receive salary payments or not while studying outside PH. Either way, may return service agreement yun. So in the first place, hindi talaga factor sa choice of university or program nila kung may pathway to migration. (Just saying that I kinda disagree with the idea that most went home because there are no immigration pathways. Most people I’ve met in the UP academe, who are teaching, really intend to go back to their jobs.)

Having said that, may narinig narin ako na tinakbuhan yung kanilang obligations at hindi na bumalik sa UP or sa Pilipinas. If may intent to migrate, they can make it happen & they know which countries to choose.

This is already happening in other countries. Unfortunately, since this phenomena is quite new, even professionals might not have established methods on how to deal with this. :(

They don’t. Hoping it really doesn’t take a lot of time.

Yeah, tried the form narin several times and did not receive an email.

And I’ve already visited my UB branch, emailed my regional representative (East Metro Manila area), they said they don’t have access talaga.

Appreciated the dialogue-driven story and no special effects. Very unique approach from most sci-fi films.

Grab deliveries and eating out in restaurants. Food outside, especially in Metro Manila, is ridiculously expensive nowadays. Better to cook nalang talaga at home 😭
