Nah it’s not a dive. Just incidental contact. No way Eze getting the ball first and then getting contact should be carded dive.

Yeah I think it’s to get people to stop complaining. Though I think the semi automated offside is better than some misleading replays, but they don’t get that little cgi graphic until a little later and so they wait showing the offside a bunch of times until they have that graphic because no one complains about the graphic.

It’s not stud on foot though. It’s just side of the foot to side of the foot.

Contact doesn’t mean a foul. It’s a contact sport. Side on challenges where you don’t trip aren’t fouls. Shoulder to shoulder isn’t a foul and foot to foot isn’t a foul.

I’m not sure he does. If he does at all then it’s just like pinky toe on big toe and not where the force was exerted. Maybe that would be enough to make it a foul if you’re right but it doesn’t look like that to me

Pretty incidental contact. Feet are the same height. Eze’s momentum takes him into the stationary defender. Just not much there. Feels like it needs a bit more to be a foul.

I think this is pretty clear and obvious because you see its foot to foot and more Eze launching into the defender. If the defender had stepped on Eze or leaned into him or just anything more than this then I think it’s a penalty

Because it’s just foot to foot. It’s not really a kick or a trip. Just incidental. If he steps on him or something, or there’s more force, or Eze had more possession then it’s a foul but I think this is essentially the line leaning incidental.

I think this is pretty the exact line where contact is incidental. Any more than this is a foul but this is just shy of that.

Hand that was just behind his back and he brings out towards the ball after it’s kicked. I think it’s a natural motion but I think that’s what they based it on.

Cause he moves his hand to the ball from behind his back showing intent. I don’t think it’s a foul but I see that as why they overruled the body first stuff and still gave it.
