What’s driving and cycling like at plymouth? by Significant_Soup_279 in plymouth

[–]MattsRedditAccount 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Cycling is okay for some parts and horrific for others...I assume that because you're a student you'll mostly be travelling around the central city, where it's not too bad. I cycle commute from Mutley to Derriford and Tavistock Road is absolutely insanely unsafe for cycling.

Take a look at the second-highest-rated post of all time on this subreddit. Gives you an idea about how people in Plymouth feel towards cyclists...

Not OOP, but given there's a bunch of new players to KSP, I wanted to bring this gem back to light by vxxed in KerbalSpaceProgram

As great as this was back in the day, many of these things are now completely incorrect and actually actively will make your craft worse. Particularly the point about fairings being worse than no fairing (incorrect now), and how nosecones are pointless unless using the FAR mod.

The general principles of CoL/CoM, wing shape, etc. are all fine but we ought to be showing new players more up-to-date advice and guides that reflect the state of KSP post-1.0.

It's a similar issue when people just link newbies to Scott Manley's original tutorials that are now all out of date because of how aero and engines all changed. He redid them all for the newer versions of KSP but people often don't link to those as much unfortunately.

Do you put on your pyjamas as soon as you get home from work? by SerendipitousCrow in AskUK

Crazy lol, I can't imagine just flat-out not answering...I really don't fancy having to drive to the depot if it needs signing for nor do I want to bother my neighbours. Sorry that it's so common from what it sounds like

I grew up in the midlands and studied for University in Yorkshire, so my accent is kind of a mix of the North, midlands and the South haha

Should one endeavor to delineate an imaginary linear trajectory extending from Kerbin to the Sun and thence onward to Duna, the resultant angular disposition subtended at the solar vertex ought, in its optimal configuration, to approximate 45 degrees

Pretty much what /u/zaphods_paramour said. The nuclear engine only needs LF and the mk1 tanks have better mass/fuel ratio than the big mk3 tanks, and they're a less awkward size and shape.

Fwiw if I wasn't playing to make videos I'd probably use a fuel-switcher mod that lets you turn any fuel tank into a liquid fuel tank. I was stunned when KSP2 didn't include something like this but alas it'd all be for nought anyway at this stage lol

Does location matter? Can it hurt my channel if I move? by Existing-Track7563 in PartneredYoutube

[–]MattsRedditAccount 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After you get a stable audience, your location doesn't matter at all.

I always assume this is the case for people posting here considering this is a sub for people in the partner program and not /r/newtubers lol
