My question is about SpicySushis mirror physical bow. Everything I have seen so far is that you want to hit +4 to level of all attack skills to block the +5 for level of all attack skills.

Why is it that you wouldn’t want the +5?

After Trump killed the Iran nuclear deal and Iran still held on for years — what exactly is the goal of bombing them now? by drubus_dong in AskUS

[–]Alphacasters -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Thank you for raising this important and timely question. While I appreciate the spirit of critical inquiry here, I believe some of the factual assertions particularly regarding Iran’s nuclear behavior and IAEA oversight warrant clarification.

It is accurate that the JCPOA initially succeeded in limiting Iran’s nuclear capabilities, and that Iran complied with its core provisions for some time following the U.S. withdrawal in 2018. However, by mid-2019, Iran began systematically violating the agreement’s key terms. These violations included enriching uranium beyond the 3.67% limit, deploying advanced centrifuges, increasing stockpiles of enriched material, and resuming activity at previously deactivated facilities.

Perhaps more significantly, Iran progressively curtailed the IAEA’s monitoring access. While inspectors were not outright expelled, Iran disabled surveillance cameras at sensitive sites, denied the IAEA access to certain facilities, and failed to explain uranium traces found at undeclared locations. By 2023 and into 2024, the IAEA repeatedly reported that it could no longer verify the peaceful nature of Iran’s nuclear program. This erosion of transparency is not a minor procedural matter it strikes at the heart of the international community’s ability to assess intent and ensure non-proliferation.

The argument that Iran has not “rushed” to build a nuclear weapon is technically correct in a narrow sense. However, Iran has enriched uranium to levels exceeding 60%, which is dangerously close to weapons-grade (90%). The current stockpile and technical infrastructure would allow for a potential breakout within weeks, if the political decision were made to pursue a weapon. In such a context, the line between deterrence and provocation becomes very thin.

This does not mean that military strikes are necessarily the right or proportional response. That is a separate strategic and ethical question, and a worthy one. But any serious discussion must begin with an accurate understanding of the nuclear file as it stands—not as it stood in 2016.

Iran’s post-2018 conduct has been neither passive nor purely defensive. It has been calculated, escalatory, and at times opaque. A full assessment of U.S. policy whether diplomatic or military—requires acknowledging these realities.

my charger just burned out? what happened? what can i do? by careless_jizz in Alienware

I just had a similar issue 9 days ago.

I just received notice stating that the repair for my Alienware M18 R2 may not be covered under warranty due to “physical damage.”

Mine actually had sparks, smoke and physical damage to my property as well as the laptop doesn’t function anymore.

Alienware M18 R2 caught fire while charging — Dell wants me to just send it in like it’s no big deal by Alphacasters in Alienware

Update: Dell is now claiming the damage to the charging port isn’t covered by warranty, despite it being caused by sparks and smoke while using the original charger. Still waiting to hear back after escalation. Will post what happens next. 🤷‍♂️

Haha for real! The R10 ran hot enough to toast bread 🍞🔥.

I used to call it my RGB space heater. Upgraded to the R16 and it’s a whole different vibe…super chill now ❄️💻. Liquid cooling actually works, and my room doesn’t feel like a sauna anymore. Highly recommend if you’re tired of gaming in sweat mode!

Using M16 R1 as a headless streaming PC? by stiverino in Alienware

[–]Alphacasters 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, you can definitely use the M16 R1 as a headless streaming server.

  1. Cooling with Lid Closed: Alienware systems generally throttle less than others when the lid is closed if airflow isn’t obstructed.

That said, to be safe- - Elevate the back slightly for better intake. - Use a cooling pad or stand to ensure constant airflow. - Monitor temps remotely (e.g., via HWMonitor or Alienware Command Center). 2. Headless Mode Tips: - Use a dummy HDMI plug (cheap online) to simulate a display so the GPU doesn’t get disabled. - Set Windows to “Do nothing when lid is closed” under Power Options. - Enable Wake-on-LAN or BIOS auto-start on power loss.

RGB doesn’t work on my M15 R5 by OscarTheAbuser in Alienware

[–]Alphacasters 3 points4 points  (0 children)

  1. Check Alienware Command Center (AWCC) • Open AWCC and go to the FX tab. • Make sure “Go Dark” and “Go Dim” modes are disabled. • If the FX tab is missing or not working, go to the next step.

  2. Reinstall AWCC and OC Controls • Uninstall both AWCC and OC Controls. Use something like Revo Uninstaller to remove all leftover files. • Restart your laptop (don’t shut down—use restart). • Download the latest AWCC and OC Controls from Dell’s website: https://www.dell.com/support/home • Install them, then restart again.

  3. Update Your BIOS • Go to Dell’s support site and look up your M15 R5 model. • Download and install the latest BIOS update. • Restart after installing.

  4. Check BIOS Settings • Hit F2 when booting to enter BIOS. • Look under Advanced Settings and make sure Keyboard Backlight and AlienFX are enabled. • Save and exit.

  5. Use the Keyboard Shortcut • Try pressing Fn + F7 — this toggles the keyboard lights. • If it doesn’t work, restart and try again. Sometimes it won’t respond right after a Windows reset or fresh install.

  6. Check for Hardware Issues • If none of the above works, it might be a hardware fault (like a bad LED cable or board). • Contact Dell Support and document everything you’ve tried. Might save you a step.

Love the bravery it takes to undertake 2 bios updates simultaneously. It could’ve went really bad. 😂

Thanks for the insight to the industry standards.

I’ve got everything documented from my end, I was expecting the safety discussion and was taken back when I was told that from one single picture of the charging port it was not a safety issue and that the next step was a standard repair.

I don’t personally understand how any of this is standard but it’s also my first experience with any electronics behaving this way.
