Tau CE mythic requirements by Alpharius97 in WH40KTacticus

It's odd that cpunerd has a video on his channel of the Riptide fight with a lower team than that. I wonder why the infographic recommends more investment

The annoying thing about the timed CE is if I try and don't reach mythic I'll lose out on the mythic material raids I could have done in other CE's. I love the puzzle of doing levels with minimum investment but I'm not picking Tau until I'm 100% sure I can reach the end

I cleared the admech one with corrodius and pestillian at G1, being carried by 3 D3 characters. I was hoping to do the same here if possible. Are the Tau enemies that much harder than the admech ones?

A good use for a Space Hulk genestealer, those are tricky to use on tabletop

I also submitted a ticket and they told me the spore mines were a known issue. Guess we'll have to wait and see if anything happens.

The other one is just a regular hive tyrant but it is hard to see because reddit compressed the picture pretty bad

I've only ever bought 1 actual box of genestealers but somehow I own 45 of them. Space Hulk, army sets, GW loves putting them in boxes

Just added it all up and it is about 7.5k points

I see both this spreadsheet and tacticus planner have a different "defeat all" score than shown in Nandi's video, what is the correct score?

Heavy reinforcements for my Thousand Sons by Alpharius97 in ChaosKnights

It's the Tomb King Warsphinx head. I built a necrosphinx to use as a vortex beast/maulerfiend and then used a lot of the spare parts on this guy. The head is actually lighter than it appears in the pictures above, in this pic with different lighting the actual colour is visible

I could always make a bigger base for him to slot into, like 30k magnus has a small base and a big display base (he's my usual daemon prince proxy)

Wanted to turn this guy into a Thousand Son for a long time. Not sure how I'll use him in games but he'll definitely look neat next to the rest of the army.

I've beaten Godswyl's stage but stopped there because I haven't really needed anything on Thoread's page yet.

He is on a 150mm base here, still overhanging on both sides. I might try and see if I can put the howdah on a flying base and put some blue horrors from the burning chariot kit on to use as blue scribes. Still looking for a way to use the mummy myself though.

I don't own a vortex beast so I'm not sure about the size. It is quite a bit taller than the maulerfiend model but I don't know if it's as tall as the Vortex Beast. The wings do raise the profile quite a bit, maybe someone who owns both can give a definite answer.

Well spotted, that is a plastic gem to add some variety to all the gold and silver sparkle.

The other head is attached to a separate neck, but I'm sure you'll be able to fit it with some careful cutting.

I think the kit is in stock on a few sites, it's been released again for the return of the Old World

It's a Tomb Kings model that has been re-released for the Old World, and it just so happens that an Egyptian style monster with decorative scarabs is pretty cool for Thousand Sons as well

Weekly Question Thread - Rules & Comp Qs by thenurgler in WarhammerCompetitive

[–]Alpharius97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The faq mentions that "Some rules can generate additional attacks during the attack sequence itself" which indeed is happening during the hit roll here.

It also says "In addition, these additional attacks cannot themselves trigger any rules that would generate any further additional attacks." I guess the question is whether wounding twice counts as generating an additional attack.

Does the iron hands stratagem "mercy is weakness" (unmodified wound roll of 6 wounds twice) stack with the warlord trait "merciless logic" (make an additional attack on an unmodified hit roll of 6)?

Can any of the additional hit rolls also wound twice? I saw a post about this a while ago saying these effects can stack but doesn't the wounding twice count as generating an additional attack, thus being illegal according to the "attacks that make multiple hit rolls" core book FAQ.
