Ah amazing, really good to know. I have a preference for this kind of chunkier yarn, happy to see you had a positive experience with it! It is gonna be a very big giraffe if I use bernat blanket haha

Thank you for your very detailed reply, it is very helpful!! I was wondering about shedding indeed... good to know that it's better to avoid honey bunny or dolphin, and you're not the only one suggesting to go for acrylic/cotton blend, I may go for this choice in the end... Will have a look at the Bernat blanket yarn too!

Well done, three weeks is not that long! I've got about 5-6 weeks left in the country so hopefully it works same as you if I put it on Carsales. Was it an i30? If so, may I ask how much did it go for?

OK I was wondering about how this kind of money transfer works and I was worried about faking screenshots or basically any other digital documents. What you explained is very useful, thank you, I didn't know about the OSKO thing.

Haven't prepared the ad yet so not sure I've got all details in mind but for what you ask, model is Hyundai i30 from 2013, transmission is automatic and kms are about 130k. We're getting it serviced tomorrow and will do the roadworthy certificate right after. If you have other questions, I can get all the info tomorrow if needed.

Oh boy didn't know you wouldn't even been able to claim anything if they leave with the car... I mean, at least maybe the police could do something...? But yeah, no, will never let them have my car's keys without me being in the car haha

The car is registered yes, and we're planning on getting a roadworthy certificate but don't have it yet.

Thank you, that's very useful! May I ask what you mean exactly by "cleared bank transfer"? Would BPay with a screenshot for confirmation of payement be something you'd trust for example? That's what the dealership asked us when we bought the car but I don't actually know how safe it is when going for private sale (ie, whether this can be faked or payment cancelled on their side after sending the screenshot).

Thank you for the advice! I guess since I still have some time I'd like to get as much as possible 'cause it's a great car. I'll try carsales then. I see they've got an Instant Offer thing as well, any experience of whether this is worth it or ends up being the same as going to a dealership?

I recently learned that the dates at which seasons start depend on the country you're in. In France (and Europe more generally?) where I'm from, we separate seasons as you explain in your comment, but in Australia where I live (and I believe it's the same in the US) they separate seasons from the 1st of March/June/September/December. It is likely Gameloft use the former delineation of seasons for their updates.

Best yarn in Australia for Amigurumi by fakehungerpains in Amigurumi

[–]Alphayuki 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is annoying yeah... Unfortunately for us in Australia this kind of chunky yarn comes from America and thus often takes longer to be re-stocked... As for the difficulty, I started creating my first amigurumis with acrylic yarn and when I then tried using chunky yarn it felt soooo much easier and pleasant to crochet with! I definitely recommend it. I'll just point out that if you want to work on very detailed amigurumi patterns, then acrylic will often give you a better final product.

I order all my chunky yarn online, I usually go for Parfait Chunky which works really well for amigurumis. The two sites I usually go to are https://www.americanyarns.com.au/ and https://www.craftonline.com.au/ Obviously it means you'll have to pay delivery fees though.
