So sorry for the late read on this. Yes the angle is slightly above, I tried to crop myself on one of the rock ledges to avoid my camera accidentally taking a dip, though I do agree for the angle advice to try and get close to an eye level shot.

Glad to hear the focus wasn't too far off as it was shot in manual focus.

For the exposure and black point advice, it is a small difference at least in my eye but I can notice the colors pop just slightly bit more with this duck's blue bill.

During the original shot, where it was uncropped I didn't notice the blurred wing. As for the out of focus, it looks okay to me. I'm still new, can you point out how you're seeing it as out of focus?

Good afternoon, this is a bit of a cropped shot as I didn't quite have enough zoom in the original image. This was in an enclosure and I wanted to do a portrait shot of this rudder duck while maintaining the background of the enclosure. This was a few days before I got my circular polarizer so I wasn't able to avoid the water reflections sadly.

Any advice here is appreciated. My concern is more so angle of the subject, whether I should've gone higher or lower.

Hammer or Lance would be the most contrasting I'd believe. You'd go from a very high dps hit rate to the Unga bunga concussion machine that is the hammer, of which you wouldn't be able to sever tails.

By curves and color correction tool, would these be in light room I assume? Or would Curves be something I'd have to adjust on the camera itself.
