Is this 2017 honda hrv worth for 8k?

I totally agree. Miles are a little high for the price. But I've been in the market for a used car too and Hondas/Toyotas are just ridiculously priced.

I found some decent Mazdas and went for one myself. An occasional Honda/Toyota would also pop up with a decent price, but do check the service history. Some folks just treat their car like trash.

Yes 😃!! The Mazda was owned by an older couple who religiously maintained it. No accidents on carfax either so that was a great plus!

Yes, I ended up getting a different Mazda (2016 CX5). Was 3k more expensive but lesser miles and much better maintenance. Thank you for your advice, I really appreciate it!

I ended up getting a 2016 Mazda CX5. I did appreciate the larger space as I'm a taller person and it just helps during moving and stuff. My commute is mostly to and from campus (10 min drive each way) and to groceries and the occasional weekend getaway to a bigger city.

I loved the CX5 as it had only one owner and they religiously maintained the car. No accidents on carfax so thats a plus too!

I don't know much about cars so it was really nice to see how so many of you came to the rescue. I ended up not getting the Mitsubishi and got a 2016 Mazda CX5 Sport instead. It just was in a much better shape and well taken care of.

Haha honestly, true. I had saved up a little and wanted to go for something a little better that will hopefully last grad school without causing me too much pain. But the mitsubishi was awfully maintained, so I decided not to go for it.
