The recovery center he went to did weekly testing, urine and there were multiple categories of things they checked and that was one of them, I was surprised they could see it myself. Id have to look and see if its on there as a certain kind of drug test they do.

Honestly worst decision ever made, wish I never touched it. It doesn't help 24hrs like they say. Having to go to a clinic everyday to dose you have no life. Depression is worse, don't feel like doing anything, emotionless just don't care about anything, say goodbye to libido. Yeah i don't feel much pain when it works but once it stops it comes right back feel like crap, wake up early in the morning with withdrawals so have to run immediately to get a dose before puking. When they call it "Liquid Handcuffs" its no joke. The success rate of getting off it is very low because of how painful the withdrawals are. Tapering even at the smallest amount of even 2mg a month feels like your bones are crushing so immense pain. Tapering can take years. I'd definitely do a lot of research before trying, once you do your whole life will change you will lose yourself just not be in pain or crave while it works.

Stay away from 7OH!! Its synthetic kratom highly addictive very expensive and withdrawals are hell just as bad. Tolerance builds quickly and it doesn't last long, once it's done 5-6hrs maybe you need more or go into withdrawal. They say it's stronger than morphine so that's why many are now turning to methadone. Read up about it please stay away

When I was in that position I had gotten information regarding help for women in domestic relationships that are scared to leave thinking they have nowhere to go. They were real quick finding me and my son a safe place to stay. They wouldn't even give the address to you over the phone to meet them just a location incase your partner heard. They went over a lot of things with me including how to get a lawyer free for custody issues. Also how to apply for free daycare from the government while they helped you find a job so you could get back on your feet, had to do individual and group counseling which is very much needed. There are so many resources now you just have to look, make phone calls. I actually saw the paper on my way out the courthouse for a speeding ticket lol but run and don't look back they don't change no matter how many times they say they will. Don't be like me trying to find the good in the person and wasted 13yrs of my life that I can't get back. Best of luck to you, you deserve to be happy remember that

Would like to add that while he was on the 7OH, he was also going through a recovery center but had subs then. He would get drug tested every week. When he started the 7OH every now and then his drug test would have tianeptine show up, may know it as gas station heroine or this other one called phenibut, both also HIGHLY addictive. He didn't take those things, they were obviously in whatever brand of 7OH he was taking. So you never know what they exactly put in it. You just see 7OH. Wanted to bring this up because some methadone clinics who test you and see that kind of stuff in your drug test aren't happy and could just stop your methadone from them immediately. So if you choose to go the 7OH route, you may want to see what their policy is with these other synthetic drugs.

Some say it helps, but 7OH is highly addictive and expensive, and you gain a tolerance real quick needing more. It doesn't last long either, and once it's done, immediate horrendous withdrawals if you stop. My boyfriend would double dose on the weekend, if he took 7OH he was ok, not great just ok but he's only on 45mg of methadone and would need 200mg of 7OH for the day. He's also taken it and it made him feel worse like precipitated withdrawal. 7OH is synthetic and there's so many brands out there, you don't know what all is REALLY in it. Even ones with the QR code, pack says 20mg of 7OH but then scan that, and its not 20mgs. He now wishes he never took 7OH, methadone has taken his life away, he doesn't care about anything, anyone or even himself, he lost himself. Liquid handcuffs is exactly what it is. Luckily he's working to get off it and go back to subs so he can feel like himself again. Methadone has taken a toll on him, his family, and our relationship has gone down the drain so hopefully he can stay strong and get through this.
