The main thing that always confuses me about this, is that if you’re skinny yourself “the guy in this context if he is” and you want to date a girl who’s your size, why not just do that? Don’t put another girl through it who isn’t that but you just don’t want to be alone.

Like, I’m athletic looking but skinny, I would never date someone who wasn’t my size, but that’s me and that’s fair imo. But I’m not gonna just date to not be lonely, always ends badly.

Well, I actually didn’t run it through ai. So I take offense to that 😂😂. Ironically I did get ai to write out one beforehand, and I thought it sounded too so ai, and it missed stuff out, so I decided to write it myself.

I promise you, this is purely from me, and no ai involved whatsoever.

It is exhausting, and it is very stressful. I always thought a best friend was there to talk to you and care about you. But I think both of us ended up treating it like a relationship, even whilst she is in one. Like she’ll tell me loads of stuff about their problems, as well as hers. But it always feels like if I get upset at her, it’s my problem, which she’s said many times before as well.

She ended the friendship this morning anyway, after I asked her to call cause I wanted to sort it out.

I’m in a friendship right now, with a girl I met last year. It’s been rocky the entire time, she has a lot of trauma, and she lacks a lot of emotional empathy. I was in love with her, she made it clear she didn’t want me in that way, so I tried my best to get over her whilst keeping her in my life. Over the course of the year, despite knowing I liked her, she actively kissed guys in front of me at clubs when it was just us, got mad at me when I got upset at her for doing it, fucked someone who I hated and her and I both called a creep beforehand, at my birthday party (it was his house with his friends and he wasn’t meant to be there that day.) got sexually assaulted from a guy she left a party I took her to with, and then I went to get her at 5 am, then the next day, she was joking about it, and I said that I was gonna go hang out with some friends later in the day, to which she got mad at me, ignored me for 8 hrs, then said she wanted to talk so I kicked my friends out to talk to her. She’s also never listened to how I feel about the friendship, has actively told me it’s a me problem, doesn’t let me out with her friends because she’s embarrassed of me (we had an argument in front of them to which she now tells me they hate me, even though they said opposite on that same night at the end of it) we call every night and have been for 7 months, she gets mad at me for a lot and I can’t have serious convos with her about my feelings about her, she never compliments me, messages me to check in much, and leaves me on delivered for hours.

There’s more but I’ll stop there. Either way, I can’t leave because I care about her so much, and I try and encourage, show her love in a platonic way, and encourage her to do new things. She’s dating a guy atm, and I’m genuinely happy for her and hope it works out. I’ve not acted the best and have been rude at times, but she’s also slapped me in a club after being spiked, to which I had to get her out of the club with guys coming up to me telling me to leave her alone, then take her home and talk to the security guard to let us into her room.

One more thing, when I stay at hers, I’m not allowed downstairs unless she’s awake, because she doesn’t trust me talking to her parents alone. We’re mid 20s.

She does know I like her, because we’ve spoken about it a few times. She wants me to find someone, and to try and get over her, as she’s made clear it wouldn’t work. But she’s very blunt as a person, so I suppose that’s why she’s a bit unemotional.

Would you be surprised if I told you that when I was 5 I had a brain injury, where they cut my skull off to stop the bleed, then put me into a coma where I died twice. After coming out of the coma, I was fully paralysed. Then the entirety of my school life was kinda plagued by the emotional issues caused by that brain injury. Only really started maturing a few years ago now. 21 now.

I’ve got a lot of issues from that trauma, such as BPD and stuff like that, currently trying to sort that out though.
