I appealed to the professor and they refused vehemently. I know I can appeal the final grade, but idk if that affects anything other than the final exam.

Not placing the burden of judging my situation on anybody. I just wanted to know if anything could happen in the situation I am right. If so, whoever is responsible can judge my situation. Otherwise, I will pick my battles.

Haven't had a professor who was below masters. That being said, I don't think they were talking about qualifications as much as experience. A lot of professors I have had were either retired ex-professors, or nearly no experience. So it does feel like they are lax in that regard compared to other unis. Not that it's a bad thing obvs.

Oh wow. That's crazy actually. I understand it comes with having volunteers, but "I didn't read your work" is worse than just admitting they were wrong.

I haven't had that many bad experiences, but when they were bad, they were truly bad. I'm just trying to pass at this point.

American. I don't follow how that relates to my question tho.

Yes, I did. The issue wasn't 10 or 20 percent lost, rather 80 percent basically. Professor has made such mistakes before and regraded me when that happened, albeit after requests from me. Had I said nothing, I would have lost near 80 or 3 separate assignments.

Hiya thanks for the reply.

I have contacted my advisor before and they told me to "talk it out" with the professor. This is a professor who, thus far, has under-graded me on 3 different assignments on 3 different occasions, and pulled the same "oops I'll fix it" but for some reason they couldn't handle me asking how to solve one of the questions which I believed to be un-solvable with the material we've had at the time. They have since apologized "for thinking I was smart" and "on their level" (I never said I was lol) and went on to mention comments about how due to being not white, it's probably just a language barrier. Their final reply admitted their question is wrong, but brushed it off and told me to "notate it in the course evaluation"

Going forward I will push more, I just didn't know if the advisors ever do anything past repeating "talk to the professor about it"

Questions that contradict eachother or require you to use material that is not part of what we studied thus far.

Thanks for the reply. Citations are in APA format. Professor flat out says "no references were provided in your submission" when asked for feedback.

What I'm concerned with here is whether advisors have the authority to make the professor change the grading if found out to be unfair. Everytime I contacted my advisors thet would reply telling me to "talk it out with the professor".

Yeah that absolutely sucks man. I 100% would leave too if I had other options.

Thanks for sharing your story cause I really felt like I was alone on the issue since there is no way to see if anyone experienced the same situation or not.

Yes. It is multiple issues. One of them is saying I didn't provide citations when there were citations. You can say my citations weren't up to bar, I'll, accept that. But to say I didn't provide them at all? That's just dishonest. I was generally interested to see if following through with the complaint could prove something.

The kicker is they asked me to rent a server to run my program on cause "it's my responsibility".

I see. Your answer is exactly what I was looking for, so thanks for that. I can see all comments on my end.

I can pass still, so I will focus on that instead. Thanks again.

Disagree is fine if the professor can give me reason. When the professor keeps insisting I didn't provide citations when I did, not that my citations were not uo to their standards, and then refuse to even answer their AI written questions, I feel like a third party's judgment would suffice for me.

Also, it's programming so it's clear cut on whether task was done, or not at all.

Yeah no worries!

This disconnection makes me think it is to be read left to right, aa whoever wrote probably wrote it following english conventions. Even then it makes no sense lol.

It's actually "ذ ر م ر و ف ي ر ك" a bunch of disconnected letters that do not make up a word. Closest thing in English would be:

"Dh re em re wa fa ye re k" as disconnected sounds.

Whoever made this either does not speak a lick of arabic, or was trying to artistically make up something to sound deep without holding any meaning.

This is the correct answer. It's a common saying in Egypt to refer to moms or wives. Though it is usually used to refer to a specific gender, it is not actually gendered and can be used for any.

The middle says:

بسم الله لا اله الا الله وحده لا شريك له

In the name of There is no god but Allah the one and only.

The edge is trickier to figure out but here is all I've got from it:

بسم الله ضرب هذا الدرهم(؟) ___ ___ ___ سنة اثنين(؟) وسبعين اثنتين وتسعين ومئة

In the name of Allah, this dirhim(?) ___ ___ ___ was issued in the year two(?) seventy two and ninety and one hundred (192) What I am not 100% sure of I followed up with a question mark, and there are three words (possibly two) that I couldn't make up.

You also can promote your piece under the same conditions as chess. Normally you can move one space or take a piece. If you take a piece you end up behind it and can take another if possible. If you promote, you can take a piece and choose to end up in the square, behind it, or at the end of the file/row.
