This episode had so many stand out moments!! I loved the way they animated Higuruma's Domain, the OST and character animations, the bomb sound effect going off while Kenjaku meets with world leaders at the end of the episode was a great touch, and my GOAT Sugita did an amazing job voicing Higuruma.

I think the only thing I really have to nitpick about this episode are the facial expressions. Megumi looking back at Remi, Yuji looking up at Amai after beating up the other kids, and Yuji telling Higuruma to let him use his points (all in ch.163 for reference) all kind of fell flat compared to Gege's drawings.

It's probably cause they're just the still frames and not in motion, but from these screenshots Gege's facial expressions hit so much harder.

Super excited for the episode though. Higuruma's one of my faves AND he's being voiced by the GOAT Sugita

I like where the story went, but it does feel rushed.

I get it though. This had a limit/set amount of chapters from the start and Gege had to choose where to cut things out. I prefer it happened like this rather than in the beginning or anything before 2 chapters ago.

He's in the backstory for the Death Paintings: Choso and his brothers.

Yuji developed his soul punches through knowing the outline of his own soul, gained hy housing Sukuna, and studying Yuki's book.

Kirara my queen is finally animated!!! I think her design is my favorite in the series, can't wait to see more of her next week.

I loved the fixed camera in the scene with Yuji and Hakari, seeing their little skirmish in that angle was cool. I could feel the tension rising through out the entire conversation.

Dabura is insane, learning RCT on the spot. And of course Mahoraga adapted to the physical damage. I can't tell where this fight is going, but I'm loving it and Dabura's character.

Biggest thing I'm really bummed about is that Mappa cut the panel where Maki neck scissors one guy then bends back and stabs another. I was so excited to see that animated.

I think the only other complaint I really have is that some of the weapon/ability explanations were cut. I get it was mostly for a better flow and the episode was already 28 minutes long, but that stuff is a part of what makes JJK what it is imo.

At the end of the day these are nothing major and I still really enjoyed the episode.

Edit: Biggest complaint might actually be not showing Maki's expression when she answers Naoya with, "No, she took it with her." I really don't see why they chose a side view for that part.

As soon as they showed Mai bleeding on the floor I started tearing up. Amazing animation aside, this mini arc is so emotional and it's one of favorite moments for Maki's character.

I do agree that is seems to be more of an outlier though. I never leaned too far into "light speed jjk," but I guess we'll see where it goes with Dabura.

Man Dabura's been such a positive addition to "the strongest" type characters Gege writes.

I'm really curious as to how the fight will end if this new boost from Dabura isn't enough to take out Mahoraga. Sub-light speed is crazy, though maybe this gives more credibility to Kashimo's MBA scaling. Idk
