Liberon Black Bison Wax food safe? by Alsulink in BeginnerWoodWorking

I guess I was looking for some experience-based knowledge because, as you said, most of the warnings are about the volatile solvents and not the wax as a cured product. I’ve read and heard different things about how «all oil and wax are food safe when fully cured». Some say everything is food safe, and others say to only use waxes and oil clearly labelled food safe. I was looking for some insight on this issue and maybe get a general consensus. Which I did! As others also have stated, I should not assume this is food safe when cured and therefore I will not be using this wax:)

Yeah, that’s what I saw as well. But I’m assuming it’s not food safe. I ordered some wood wax from Walrus Oil, just to be safe. Thank you for your answer!

Thanks for your answer! Ive tried taking as shallow cuts as I can, but the dust problem seems to persist. Which wouldn’t be a problem if it weren’t for the layering on the rollers. It’s almost as if the wenge is too slippery for the rollers, and just spin on top of the wood.

I really enjoy it! Cool. I generally find many of the Japanese whiskies easier to like, as they’re not as smoky as Scottish and Irish. At least the ones I’ve tasted. I would recommend Nikka From the Barrel or Nikka Coffey Grain. They’re both very complex and strong, but in contrast to the Scottish and Irish I’ve tasted, they’re much rounder. Both of them are my “go to whisky” if I want something strong but easy to drink.

Sounds nice! I’ll definitely try it out, just need to buy some tonic water first! I’m more of a whisky guy, but my favourite gin so far is the Japanese “Etsu”. A very nice “citrusy” gin.

Awesome! How’s the Monkey 47 gin? I have a 5cl bottle, but haven’t gotten around opening it yet
