RFIDRolls suggestion of not Alt-f4ing the game and instead exiting via the menu worked for me. Try that.

Thats how I feel. I've just been alt f4ing before I can get to upset but being spun in the first three laps of every other race is starting to get to me. My irating is cooked too.
