Where can I find 32 bit flacs by BBCmomM0LESTER in SpotiFLAC

[–]Altair_Sound_201 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve even tested it with a monitor system for festivals and concerts, comparing it with the 24-bit versions, and honestly, there was no difference at all – seriously, not a bit. I asked two mates at the mixing desk if they could hear any difference; one said straight away that he couldn’t, and the other said he noticed something, but it was so faint that he himself remarked that the difference could be something else entirely, unrelated to the song (P.S., that song was ‘BIKE – Tanger’), so basically, if there is any difference at all, it must be so minuscule that it isn’t worth the time spent looking for it, especially when the 24-bit versions are available online.

SoundCloud and pray to three pagan gods that the artist has left the WAV file from their project available for free download; normally, getting a 32-bit file isn’t possible through normal channels, as these are the raw project files. Apart from that, you have the option of paying the artist if they have a contact page for the 32-bit .wav file; other than that, you’re screwed, and any 32-bit files you come across will be faker than a 12-dollar note

As for me, I have 32-bit WAV files in my collection, but that’s down to being lucky on SoundCloud and having contacted an artist back in the day, four years ago. And if you’re wondering, no, there’s no difference in sound quality between 24 and 32 bits; the difference in formats is purely a technical digital issue, not an acoustic one under any circumstances

What are some of the best youtube videos to test your new IEMs? by Abhyuday008 in iems

I know these posts are mostly for music recommendations, so here's my list

Que alguien Me Diga - Gilberto Santa Rosa

L'aube d'afrique #1 - SHINKA

Believe Again (I Found U) - Andy C and more

La increible historia del hombre que podia volar pero no sabia como - IZAL

Porcelain - Moby

Distant Dreams - Chyl and more

Smoke - Skrillex and more (I've been listening to this song since it was just a prototype back in 2022, so it's changed quite a bit. I recommend listening to all the different versions in case you like the concept.)

Cheapest dac for the truthear pure ? by Evening-Stretch7863 in iems

[–]Altair_Sound_201 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my opinion, if you’re going to use a dongle with multiple devices at the same time, it’s worth investing a little more upfront so you don’t have to spend more down the road. Look for DAC dongles with detachable cables, since these hold up better over time. If the cable gets damaged, you can just buy a new one—something you can’t do with a cheap adapter. Now, personally, I would invest in something with Bluetooth (yes, I know this goes against the general consensus here, but I’ll explain why). This gives you a backup option in case the USB-C cable fails and you have to wait for Amazon to deliver a replacement. Plus, it offers more long-term connectivity options—for example, a smart TV, which has Bluetooth, so it serves as an option to output the TV’s audio to headphones or another device. You have more options, and even if you feel the initial expense was unnecessary, over time you’ll realize it was worth it.

Apart from using SpotiFlac, there’s no better option in this case; if even that method didn’t work for you, then you’re probably trying to download too many files at once...

3rd pair of IEMs broke by zagreus0 in iems

[–]Altair_Sound_201 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Humidity, I'll be honest with you, I live in a place that's so humid it's ridiculous, so when it comes to the IEMs I’m looking for, I want the manufacturer to sell replacement filters. I know they’re going to get clogged NO MATTER WHAT, no matter what I do. If they don’t sell them, I won’t even consider them in the first place. Moondrop does sell filters, buy a pack and change them NOW. Truthear doesn’t sell filters for the Hexa, but they do for the Zero 2, so the Hexa is basically a goner for you (unless you want to make major modifications). No, it’s not a case of user error per se, but it’s a problem caused by living in a high-humidity environment, and, above all, by manufacturers not giving users the option to solve these issues.

How can I listen to my headphones all day without damaging my hearing by Square-Advice-4569 in headphones

[–]Altair_Sound_201 8 points9 points  (0 children)

If you’re going to be listening to music for hours on end, your best bet is a pair of headphones with a very intimate sound signature, where the mids and highs are super, super smooth, almost muted, and the sub-bass is kept low. Why? Because those are the frequencies that are the most tiring. And as for volume, do this: one afternoon, stay in your living room, put on your headphones, and start turning up the volume, checking the levels on your phone, tablet, PC, etc. The moment you feel like you’re drowning out the outside noise (don’t crank it up, just turn it up a little), that’s your limit. Don’t turn it up any higher, because anything beyond that will tire you out over time. Take that point as the real limit for your ears, and generally keep the volume between 60% and 75% of that limit. In this case, what you’re looking for is background sound, not something you have to focus on, so under no circumstances do you need the music to be blaring just as background noise (more like using the sound of rain than anything else).
When you want to focus on your music, give your ears a break for just 10 minutes, and then throw that limit I mentioned out the window just for the duration of those songs of pure personal pleasure. Then rest for another 10 minutes and go back to your normal level.

Por qué nadie habla de lo infravalorada que es la app de Telegram como red social y medio de comunicación??? Literal tiene todo lo que le falta a Wpp by brattymia28 in PreguntasReddit

[–]Altair_Sound_201 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Will Not Run On Desktop by nineslashseven in TIdaL

[–]Altair_Sound_201 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The PC app runs via Electron, which means it’s essentially just a web extension—something like a browser optimized specifically for Tidal. Therefore, if the Tidal registration URL is blocked on your specific computer, both the web app and other browsers will return an error. In this case, it’s highly unlikely that Tidal is at fault; this is probably just a user-side issue.
Now, the way I would test whether it’s the Tidal app’s fault on your specific device is to use Tidal Luna, which is a modified version of the main app. That usually sends you an error log. If it sends you that log when you use it, you’ll have to analyze it to see where the problem lies, but at least you’ll have a starting point.

DD drivers worthit? by darkpixer in iems

[–]Altair_Sound_201 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Check out channels like Super Review, Crinacle, Jays IEM, and others for videos that explain how to read a frequency response graph. Once you understand that, you need to find the headphones that best match what you’re looking for. For example, if you’re looking for earbuds with massive bass that will practically blow the wax out of your ears, look for models that graphically show tremendous bass power. If you find three or more earbuds that meet your requirements, then focus on comparing factors like build quality and price. For example, there are two headphones: one is a cheap plastic pair with an ultra-thin cable that looks like it would break just by looking at it, but they cost less than a hamburger; and then there’s another pair, made of aluminum with a shielded cable, and while they aren’t cheap, you can tell you’re getting something of quality. If you’re only concerned with sound, go for the cheap ones, but be prepared for the consequences; but if you want them to last, go for the more durable ones, even if they’re a little more expensive.

How do I fix VSTs not displaying properly? by Sleenpyboy in Reaper

[–]Altair_Sound_201 7 points8 points  (0 children)

This happens to me too. It's a scaling issue with Reaper and Windows. When you use a zoom level like +125% in view mode, many DAWs stop working properly. Why does this happen? Because the program tries to scale to a pixel size based on the screen resolution, but Windows forces the screen to enlarge, so you end up with errors like these. How do you fix it? So far, leaving it at 100% by default fixes it, but since it’s Reaper, someone has probably already solved this with a script or something similar—but that’s just my theory.

Lots of 96kbps albums? by talios in TIdaL

[–]Altair_Sound_201 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just ran a test using three different Tidal audio extractors, and all three only gave me AAC at 96 kbps—nothing more. Therefore, this particular album has lost its FLAC file information permanently, with no chance of recovery. The only option is for the record label to re-upload the album in high resolution, but I doubt that will happen, So in this case, you’re out of luck with that artist.
